Just tuned in briefly to Radio 5 to get some of the build-up. Struggled through about three minutes, then turned off.
Why do football fans now have to be bludgeoned by a deafening P.A. system, pumping out music that is nearly always shit (in my opinion), and in any case by definition a choice that not one fan in that stadium has made. Right up to the k.o.?

Why? “Oh because you've got to be modern, mate, get with the times, it's what the kids want now”

I hugely resented it a couple of weeks back at Wembley, and I loathe it more and more at the Etihad. Why is it now illegal for us as fans to talk a bit, maybe chant a bit, maybe just soak up the atmosphere and the buzz which is sufficiently generated by the occasion itself.
