I know we were interested before he moved to Spurs.

Very young though, albeit, very talented and able to move into midfield.

He’s been great in a really poor spurs team.

Completely positionless for them, could be a monster here.

Rodri, Nico and Reijnders for 2 spots... is a little sketchy.

Sure, Kova will be back, or O Reilly can play there, so maybr we dont need Wharton.

But if Khaldoon is as serious about refreshing the squad as he seems, then Wharton as depth does make us better and future proof us (as well as HG).

I see him more useful than MGW tbh since Cherki is coming in.

He said “I reckon we’ll accept about 15-25” I added “low ball offer” because that’s so low for a keeper of his calibre.

Makes sense if we can’t recoup more from Saudi as they’ll take him off our hands with his wages and he’s actively trying to leave the club and he’s got one year left. He’s been talking to his agent, trying his upmost to get one of the bigger ones in Saudi to offer.

Same with Stones too. Been floating his agent around to get him on loan somewhere or a low ball offer/free. Everton and Aston Villa have been sniffing around.

Got a real problem with jsut buying a player because they're home-grown and will cost £60mil or more

At least Livramento seems to be a top player in a position that is pretty weak across world football, but you've got players like Branthwaite, MGW, Eze, Wharton etc. Who granted are good but you can probably find a few players in each league of a similar quality and players of much better quality....and they'd cost half the price (Cherki vs MGG/Eze case in point)
