I always hoped an ageing club-trained keeper could be our #3 - think Grimshaw, Gunn, Bazuna, Muric, Slicker, Murray-Jones and Trafford all qualify. Any older ones ?

Seems sane is off to arsenal. Personally not fussed by that. Has ability but never really matured. Bayern fans seem delighted he is leaving which says it all imo

Will be gutting to see Leroy in a arsenal shirt. I understand we are going down a younger, next generation route but I'd have taken him back, the running off the ball is exactly what we lack. Look how impactful Nunes has been from fullback because he's the only one that does it. stick Sane there with haaland in the middle, he'd feast off it. He's a big plus for Arsenal. Adds quality and depth.

They'll briefly (until they send sterling back) have our centurion forward line of sterling, sane and Jesus.

2018 Sané, absolutely. Won’t bother me anymore that they have this version than it did seeing Sterling play for them

I'm not sure what 2025 Raheem is suited for, to be honest. Still two years left on his £325K-per-week deal at Chelsea

Was the right time to move him, but I think Sterling would've feasted in the treble squad with Haaland.

Had his chance with us - chose to head back to Germany. (Amortisation wise we actually made a profit btw - €52m in 2016 to sell him for €49 in 2020.)
Don't think the current Sane really improves Arsenal so go for it lad

What is it with arsenal and Chelsea wanting our players or ex players is it in the hope they bring a certain mentality with them or simply they want to be like us ..

Nah I think sterling was done, we arguably got rid a year too late really but definitely sold him at a good time. A centurion level sterling in that side however, yeah, without question. Seems weird to say we lacked something when we won the treble but that team did lack runners, movement off the ball would have made it even better.
