Ederson and Ortega both staying according to Pep

Got academy keepers though ain't we, disgrace might have been a bit harsh a word to use, but come on, you must get my point.
Academy keepers need to play though, so are more likely to be loaned out for experience. Being 3rd choice (unless they could still play academy games) isn't going to help them, or their career, develop.

I'm pretty sure we could use one of the academy keepers anyway instead of Carson if Ederson and Ortega are out.

I’m not sure @Indaparkside is a goalie??

Doesn't have to be, just turn up every day and keep spirits up will suffice, oh and get a good pay for it also.

Multiple CL winner I've read ffs, my heads in a spin, biggest claim to fame is player of the year at Derby County around 20 years ago.

And all these other top flight clubs with 40 year old keepers on the books, aye ok

Can't loan them all out no, as they will have games to fulfill at that level, but could certainly be involved with the main 2 keepers on a regular basis.

I am no Scott Carson hater, although it's coming over that way, I'm just sticking by my original thoughts, just do not see the point, a bit like a few on here don't see mine

The best manager in the history of the professional game who has spent his entire life in football dressing room think he's an incredibly important asset.

You might have some kind of distaste for the role he plays but I don’t really see why you would choose to belittle one of our own who by all accounts has been an important part of the most successful team in our club’s history, as if his existence has mortally offended you.

He has as many professional minutes to his name as KDB. He has over 500 appearances across 9 clubs and yes… as much as you might scoff… he has been a part of two CL winning squads. Let’s be realistic here, you nor I have a fucking clue what he does on a day-to-day basis. So why judge him as if you have perfect knowledge of the value he is bringing to the table? Clearly the only people who can opine on that are the world class managers and coaches who have repeatedly chosen him to be a part of their squads.

I just want a keeper who is an open play/ set piece - especially penalties and is good with feet and distribution. If Eddie, Ortega and Scott could morph into one then we would have the ideal keeper. As it is each have their own individual strengths and weaknesses.

Maybe Pep sees him in a Brian Kidd type role.

An 'incredibly important asset' on a salary of around £1.5m a year.

Thirty thousand pounds a week. That's more than Rico Lewis, Nico O'Reilly, and James McAtee earn.

Scott has got photos. There can be no other credible explanation.

Fantastic news.

I've been a big critic of Eddie and his shot stopping over the course of his time here but he's made me eat my words over the past couple of years. He's improved massively and that Fulham game was abnother example.

The only question mark over him at the minute is his ability to stay fit but I'd much rather keep him than move for Costa.
Glad someone said that because it doesn't get recognised as much.

Ederson staying is amazing news what an absolute fucking legend he is btw. Doesn’t get the credit he deserves. 3rd most premier league appearances for us and he’ll absolutely smash that if he stays. Look at his honours

6 premier league
2 FA cups
4 league cups
3 charity shields
1 Champions league
1 super cup
1 fifa club World Cup

When he does finally leave he deserves a statue as well.
