General transfer rumours

What is it with arsenal and Chelsea wanting our players or ex players is it in the hope they bring a certain mentality with them or simply they want to be like us ..
We've been the top under under age/ academy team for the last 5 years plus they know we are open to selling them.
If you add in Southampton, we must have sold about 15 players to those 3 clubs in the last 3 to 4 years.

Definitely that's part of it, arteta in the early years was desperate for some winners to try and instill a winning mentality into the bottle jobs. Chelsea having previously had the best academy in the country for a decade know the levels our academy is at and that it's a smart move to seriously consider anybody that's been through our academy. I've said this a few times now, our academy has the prestige of a La Masia now and we need to start profiting from it.

I always hoped an ageing club-trained keeper could be our #3 - think Grimshaw, Gunn, Bazuna, Muric, Slicker, Murray-Jones and Trafford all qualify. Any older ones ?
Grimshaw has done more than OK but been the go-to fall guy at terrible teams with terrible defences in Blackpool and then Plymouth

To this day City have always turned out good keepers throughout the divisions. Weird blind spot for centre forwards but always very decent keepers who usually end up having a career

According to Ornstein, Mbuemo is pushing for a move to the rags
Does he not play vaguely the same position as Amad Diallo, one of the very few bight spots for the Swamp Donkeys last season? They should be strengthening almost every other position ahead of "goalscoring inside right forward"

I think he's a decent player and would improve them a lot. 2 decent seasons in a row so pretty consistent.

Fatties last thing he did was drop Daniel
Blaming him for his poor tactics
Hopefully get move and career back on track

He’s probably not in the top half dozen of keepers from our academy in the last decade but he’s a fighter and determined to have a league career, fair fucks to him
I thought his career was over when he went on loan to non league St Albans for a season but he backed himself and fought his way back. Playing men’s football helped him. Fair play to the lad, hope he does well at Norwich
Playing in a team in the upper reaches of a table for once could be the making of him

Weeks from running out of money Ratcliffe told us at the end of last year. No CL again but will probably spend 200m again.

How do they keep persuading players to go there? And how do they afford them with being so shit for so long?
