Morgan Gibbs-White

It’s the fee and what others will say, especially Liverpool who will make out Wirtz was cheaper and Gibbs White was more expensive.

On the plus 15 goal contributions in PL last 2 and 13 before that.

So not spectacular a consistent return that not that many will match

He’s 25, so a great age

He has good technique and lots of energy.

I’m not saying I want him, but I see why we are looking.

I also think whilst being an unpopular signing, us City fans will give him a chance and I see him being a player you warm to when he plays on your team.

FWIW - The Forest fans I know would prefer to keep the player then the money, which is never a bad sign.

Livra looks like a Walker replacement. Defensive fast RB.

Peep this video. It turned me into a fan

Still want Vanderson tho but we need homegrown players. My issue is MGW and Livra could cost like 70 mil pounds each which is egregious. Could get Vanderson, Aina, and find some English back up GK for less combined … but it’s not my money.

Also feel like the club is saving money for someone big idk

I've said since we were linked with him he's a Walker replacement, pretty quick and can run all day, he's the guy making mad run's up and down the line after 90 minutes, he's a proper athlete. Given his age I think he's worth pushing the boat out for, we could genuinely get a decade out of him.

When Leicester won the league, they had FFS and Kante. That aside, on paper their squad was weaker than Forrest's.
MWG is not in the same class as either of those two.

Let's say the cost is like 80m?

Personally, I'd go for Wharton over MGW at that price.

Of course they are different players, Wharton more of a 6/8, MGW more of a 8/10.

But we have Reijnders as the 8/10, and Cherki as a 10/RW coming in, I think Wharton is the better choice, and better long term planning when we consider Rodri is 29 soon, and Kova is 31.

I would, but dealing with certain clubs with certain chairmen, they wouldn't pick up the phone, and if they did, they’d be saying, “Break the Premier record to buy him.”

Think this still happens we are great in this situation. At the end of the day the player will want the move.

Will be plenty of add ons in the fee I imagine and if he meets them clearly worth it.

Tolm indicated we want to send somewhere there and probably to lower the price.

Seems like a less important transfer going into the CWC as we have a midfield albeit it with no legs.

Like who mate ? Wharton would cost the same and he’s defensive minded.

Notable English players available on a free. None would be starters but might be interested in being rotational option and would more cheaply address homegrown needs than overpaying for MGW.

Walker-Peters
Calvert=Lewin
Lamptey
Callum Wilson
Tyrick Mitchell

Hell, I'd bet Jamie Vardy would take 100k per week to be a backup striker when Haaland needs rest.

I think Mitchell has signed a new contract because I saw him and thought he would be useful on a free but heard otherwise.

Reckon this gets done, but it will drag on hence no moves before club World Cup.
Also by showing we’re not that desperate the price should come down a bit
Also scope for mcatee and nunes to be included in the deal
Really excited about our midfield next year

Don’t play in the same positions at all. I think we have gone for cherki and reijnders over mgw and will move for livramento for the hg signing imo

It was rumored to be Reijnders, MGW and Wirtz and now Cherki anyway mate? Still think they want that extra one in

Those names Omds sounds like a Leeds rebuild

Yea it’s just not worth it. Dean Henderson for backup GK is the only one I’m okay with.
