A world beater since we are in for him. Weird. After losing wirtz it’s now Kerkez so we cope that this guy is better while playing wingback all season.

Kerkez, Ait-Nouri and Hall were the best LB/LWB last season in the league, going for any of them is a no brainer for the teams at the top, One is already at a team comppeting for trophies and top 4 so Kerkez wanted by Liverpool and Ait-Nouri by us makes perfect sense.

Throw in Angers FC manager saying the deal nearly went through in January (they have a sell on clause) and it seems this was already planned a while ago

He's a really good player. He fills a role that allows Gvardiol to shift into centre-back. His ability to win the ball high really will create opportunities for our attackers. There is nothing but positive in this deal, other than the potential impact on O'Reilly.

I am not in agreement with those who would have Livramento over Ait Nouri. AN slightly more league minutes last season but got 4 goals and 7 assists, Livramento no goals and one assist in 300 less mins but in a team that scored a lot more goals. I would take the huge attacking upside over the much smaller defensive upside
I’m happy with either but right back is a bigger problem than left back for us in my opinion. Livramento is potentially the best right back in the league for years, i rate him that highly. He’s actually very underrated going forwards but a superb actual defender. His stats might not back up his attacking play so far but i’ve watched a lot of him and he’s miles better than Walker ever was on the ball and supports the winger very well.

Hopefully O'reilly will be used in his normal role of attacking mid

that position is too stacked with like 5 potential players in front of him. The moment Reijnders and MGW join there‘s seriously no place for him in the CM position even after offloading Gundo and Bernardo which is sad.
The current rebuild doesn’t favor him at all.

I think we need to think of him being a squad player - the natural course of an academy graduate moving into the first team. Playing in all the cup competitions, and also with gradually increasing minutes in the PL. It's also a chance for him to genuinely compete for a place.

I can see playing him on the left wing, especially if Grealish leaves.

I`m gob-smacked I tell thee !!
Just been reading a decent article from the one and only Mr Stone on the Beebs website and he`s given a glowing report on the lad and how he will fit brilliantly into Peps team.
WOW just WOW.
The fuckers still a plank though.
Probably still in an euphoric haze at the news his favourite rat is staying

I think we won’t go for MGW now, keep O’Reilly for midfield and sign a top class winger and go big for Livramento.
