True. but its not just about Gvardiol's positioning when we have long-standing possession. It's an extra center-back for all phases. Set-pieces, duels, etc. where a CB offers more defensive security. Gvardiol in particular has fantastic pace and defensive instincts and generally didn't get caught out. Think he's more of a Unicorn footballer.Certainly possible, and no doubt will be a formation we use some of the time. We've played a lot of games with both NOR and Nunes, though. And Gvardiol plays pretty high and wide at left-back, he doesn't really just play as a wide central defender

If we were going after a different left back, then yes Nunes at right back during that period isn't a bad position to be in. The issue with having Ait Nouri and Aina leaving at the same time is we'd also have O'Reilly, Ake or Gvardiol at left back on top of Nunes at right back.
