True. but its not just about Gvardiol's positioning when we have long-standing possession. It's an extra center-back for all phases. Set-pieces, duels, etc. where a CB offers more defensive security. Gvardiol in particular has fantastic pace and defensive instincts and generally didn't get caught out. Think he's more of a Unicorn footballer.Certainly possible, and no doubt will be a formation we use some of the time. We've played a lot of games with both NOR and Nunes, though. And Gvardiol plays pretty high and wide at left-back, he doesn't really just play as a wide central defender
And I'd say its more likely we played that way (NOR/Nunes) because it was our only option... everyone else was injured lol.
