Jack grealish’s medal cabinet would be the envy of many so called top players to have played in the premier league, he doesn’t set his price so why do posters and journalists keep going on about it, half the shit that was bought for Trafford Utd Pogba, maguire, Antony, etc etc etc the list goes on would give there right arm to have what jacks won, nothing’s said about there cost I wonder why, what ever happens to him I wish him all the best for the future great guy

Pep has never struck me as being a vindictive ****.

He's always come across as someone who cares about the players.

Something has obviously gone on that we don't know about, and the club wants him to leave.
He seems to care about Jack even, not sure there's anything "gone on" other than Pep just doesn't fancy him in the team, he's just done nothing in the last 18 months to put himself in the dropable camp (like quite a few others to be fair), but his position has many options.

A very key player in the season we won the treble (one of the greatest seasons in football history)

And by all regards a truly lovely person.

His wages are absolutely astronomical so I understand the club’s position but Jack has earned the right to pick and choose what moved he makes and I’m pretty sure we all wish him the best

He’s won a lot. He’s a very good player. He is not, and never has been / will be a “top player”.

watched a villa guy putting up a highlights package of him there - he was absolutely elite, Pep certainly hasnt got him back to that level

Jack was great in our treble winning season but I don't think Pep ever forgave him for being pissed for months afterwards.
The following season he was miles off where he should be and he's never been the same since.

To be fair he really hasn't been given the chance to make amends IMO, but then again I'm not Pep but in Pep I trust.

No doubt he cares about Jack but I'm not having it that his lack of minutes is all down to Pep not fancying him as a player anymore.

I don't know what the problem is, It's got fuck all to do with me and I wish him the best but I'm not going to pretend he's gone from a first 11 player to someone who got the 19th most minutes in the PL out of the entire squad without there being a problem behind the scenes. He's only 19th for minutes because the likes of Stones and Ake are always injured or they'd be above him as well.

Best thing about Jack is he's a likable warm hearted down to earth guy, a genuine people person and a man's man which is endearing to people around him. I'd love a night with him on the lash. I bet he's great company and a good laugh hearing him tell tales and crack jokes in his daft dulcet toned brummy accent.

You can tell he's one of the best we have in dressing room for banter and camaraderie which is so important for morale and team spirited harmony amongst the players. A lot of blues argue he was so important in our treble winning season which he was tbf, but not just on the pitch though. His presence around the lads that season kept them focused believing in themselves.

Biggest disappointment for me though is he has more talent than most footballers yet we haven't seen enough of it, unfortunately for whatever reason, or reasons. I think he struggles to believe in his own confidence and ability when the chips are down. If only he'd been a bit more bold and brave in those split second moments of beating his man to whip in a cross instead of passing sideways or backwards . If only he'd pulled the trigger in front of goal to score instead of laying the ball off to be defended against with the goal chance gone. If only he stepped up to score more goals more assists and more match winning moments he'd be one of the world's most exciting best players. If only...

He's a good team player but no so much a good individual player. And by that I mean he hasn't really had that cocksure selfish arrogance in crucial moments that the very best players have. Last season was The season to finally unleash the genie from his bottle and make the world sit up and take notice of his undoubted skills but he was a let down if we're being honest. Not just to us, the fans or Pep. A letdown to himself that he never quite had the bottle to believe in himself make things happen for himself on the pitch, and I'm sure Jack will agree and be disappointed and sad in the way things have turned out for him in the end.

Although I've been critical of him several times of him in the player thread it's because he frustrated me for several aforementioned reasons, but I've always wanted him to do well and grab his moments by the Bollocks and deliver the goods so much more than he has done, especially last season.

He'll leave City knowing he didn't quite do enough on the pitch to please and appease Pep but he'll leave with a lot of good memories of good times and a big bag full of medals. His "super Jack" song was sang fondly when he had good moments but we should have sang it a bit more and would have had he inspired us to. But he didn't, and i've said enough.

Thanks Jack. All the best and good luck in all you do fella.

We won the treble and the photo of him on the bus was iconic (less so a bit of the pissed up stuff afterwards but all harmless stuff).
Personally I never liked that photo. He looks a bit like a drunk.
Pep preaches being humble but that to me is the opposite. Could never see King Colin or Kev doing that, anyway good luck to Jack I'm sure he will do well somewhere else.
Like to thank him for what he did in the treble season.

Love how the media are talking about Grealish; means we might actually get a decent fee for him! In four seasons, he has started about 60% of games for us; tells you everything about him, as in the older you get, your past catches up with you regarding being kicked, continually shin problems for most of his career, and we know he likes a drink; that catches up with you too! He had a fantastic six months out of his whole career at our club! Good luck to him; time for him to go…

O'Hara ffs.

It's all pre planned what they going to talk about so that video you posted will get traction! If you check his stats for Villa and us not much difference and he played in a Villa team where he takes the ball and has to beat 1 maybe 2 players max at ours you see what he has to get through! These so called ex footballers you'd think they have a clue why Grealish finds it harder in our team!

That is someone celebrating achieving a dream in life.

Of all the palyers you could call not being humble Jack is not one of them.

and Bell and DeBruyne are completely different personalities, so the comparrsion doesn't match

I suppose you didn't aprove of Dunne, Royle or Quinn for being pissheads or Alison or Summerbee for being flash harrys

He’s a street footballer, just like Le Tissier.

His brain isn’t good enough for the elite level.
He played an integral part in us winning a treble, playing regularly in a demanding system. How is his brain not good enough for elite level?

If he wasn’t smart enough tactically or technically he wouldn’t have played in that side

Unless he has an injury or a genuine impending transfer I think this is quite disrespectful, no reason to exclude a player when let's be honest Carson, Reis and likely other junior players will be there who have contributed far less over the last few years, feels a bit like he's being singled out without a known obvious reason.
A) IF the rumours are actually true.
B) 'known' reason, being the key word there. He could want time to sort his nect move and not risk injury for example.

When we won the treble, he said in so many words, “Don’t think it can get better than this or better it!”

Pep wins so many trophies because he can read players in training, their hunger to win, their energy, and I just think jacks lost that. He himself worked so hard just to get that one half of a season where he was at his peak, and we won the treble. Just maybe he can't give that much again just because he sees the demands Pep has on his players!
