Liam Delap

So £17m in total we made on him. Less than the amount the dippers have sold their second choice keeper for. He'll be worth 5 times that inside 2 years.

Only getting £2m according to reports

"The Blues also inserted a 20 per cent sell-on fee into the transfer on any profit made by Ipswich. Should the forward complete his £30million move to Chelsea then City will bank £2m"
Wouldn't 20% be 3M? I thought he was sold for 15?

Maybe, see how he gets on. I think he will do well, but currently he's had one pretty good season in the Premier League.

He wasn't exactly ripping up the Championship season before, otherwise it wouldn't have been Ipswich signing him and we'd have got a bigger fee.

I don’t want to insult your math ability, but do you know how much money that is?!

Put me down for half a crown on NO.

BBC - How Chelsea Won the Race to Sign Delap

Hahahhahahaha making out it was Wirtz.
Might not be that level yet but he was definitely in demand.

I think he'll be a top signing for them at a very good price. He'll be going in my Fantasy Football team!

Literally only Chelsea put a bid in. The rest was paper talk, unless you know that other clubs bid?
I think it's quite obvious that several teams were interested, as reported by many. Nobody else would've put in an official bid as he chose Chelsea.

He was available for £30m and is probably England's next number 9. Here's what Bryan Barry Murphy said:

"Liam's blessed with an extraordinary physical capacity to sprint really, really quickly. And then he's a naturally skilled striker, his shots are like rockets.

It sounds quite simple, but it makes him a pretty destructive forward and pretty difficult to play against because of his ability to be unpredictable at all times.

I saw him against the most established or senior centre-backs and his strength is extraordinary. So they would be nervous about coming into contact with him because of how powerful he is."

Haha okay mate. It's not that serious. You're going off paper talk and by the sounds of it you hope he'll be England's next 9 - he's not even had one senior cap yet haha!

Hope you have a great day

From what I can gather he was sold for £15m + 5m in additional bonus clauses.
I don't know what these were but he seemingly made these. May have been goals scored, games played.

I recall people questioning my claims Palmer was worth double what we sold him for, yet you'd not get to the table with that kind of bid now.

Even if he is just alright and bags say 15-20 goals, he'll be a 24yr old proven English striker in an ever inflating market, he'll be easily worth the price of an Antony. We were reportedly being quoted that kind of sum for MGW this summer...

I'll bow down to your superior knowledge of the media, players and all things football pal.

You come across as another wum who talks as though they're somehow more enlightened than the rest.

You've literally replied to me mate, stating opinions as facts - but I'm a WUM? When people have different opinions to you it doesn't make them a WUM.

This literally came from me posting a story from the BBC where they made out Delap was a superstar that was in high demand. You've seen your arse from that haha. It's not that deep mate

Haha caught a big one. It's not that deep, bro.

Literally, have a great day.
