Schooldays are the happiest days of your life.

I bumped into an old school teacher today.
He knew my parents as both were teachers as well.
We chatted about school days and old teachers we knew.
He told me about their private lives and I was amazed at what they did.
One was a Lancaster bomber pilot during WW2
Another was doing the North Atlantic run in the navy in WW2

No way in hell for me. Picked on/bullied because of my stature (now grown, 5'8"). That bullshit stopped - finally - when I graduated high school and began attending college. Schooldays were fucking awful.
Completely agree, I hated School and I can honestly say the day I left after just turning 16 was the happiest day of my life, even Sergio Aguero only came second to my jubilation when I walked through those school gates for the final time.

Some weirdo’s, ex pupils used to visit our school (Hartshead) for some bizarre reason, I never set foot in the place again, it was knocked down a few years ago and is now a housing estate which at least doesn’t remind me of the School.

Still got the scars on my knuckles when one of these split my knuckle open.

That was in junior school. The punishment for swinging back on my chair!!

5 wraps. Some with the thick side down first!! Bastards.

I hate these school threads. I hated school. My school West Hill boys) was like a scene from the film Scum. And the lyrics to Another Brick I The Wall sums up perfectly the time at my former High school.

HEY TEACHER, LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!!!
For me, I got along great with my school teachers. It was some of my asshole classmates who - for whatever reason - were able to bully and abuse those around them with almost no consequence - if they were adults - and behaved like they did - they'd find themselves in jail.

And some of those shits even picked on teachers.

I had a German/Social Studies teacher who was hard of hearing - and had trouble with his hearing aid. A bunch of assholes in my class took great pleasure whispering/saying something nearly inaudible to poke fun at him.

And you know what?

On a "get-in-touch-with-your-high-school-classmates" site - one of those despicable idiots recounted how much fun it was to poke fun at this hard-of-hearing teacher. Yeah, fucking hilarious - at the time - and even more so now - decades later - when you maybe ought to have developed a moral compass.

Schooldays for my - was the wild, wild west - no laws - anything goes - almost with no consequence to the perpetrator whatsoever.

I hated school, well high school anyway.

Primary was 'ok'! Just a place to meet mates everyday!

My mum was a teacher at my primary school and my uncle also taught there.
Didn't get any perks, actually the opposite.

Wasn't picked for the cricket team for one game, despite being one of the better players.

I heard my dad asking my uncle why and he said, 'he didn't want to be accused of favouritism'!

My dad said: "he's 10! he doesn't understand that. It's not his fault you both work there!"

High school was a joke. I was the second intake of lads at a former all-girls grammar school!
Most adolescent boys dream, but some of the girls were tough and resented the lads.

We then joined up with another school and there was a massive divide between us and them.

As you can tell I'm still traumatised!!!!!

OH AND THE PUNCHLINE IS......
I WORK IN A SCHOOL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Malc Abbott unfortunately didn’t leave those kids alone did he? I knew him from going in my local at the time, when his case went to court he was pretty much ostracised but still keeps in touch with the ex Scouse Teacher, Chris, can’t remember his second name, he’s gone a bit weird as well, wears nail polish all the time.

He left me alone as I was bigger and stronger than him when I was a teenager. He was just a weedy little porno 'tache pervert who leered over us in the showers. He got sexual gratification in that and pumping our arses, but he wasn't as nasty and cruel as some of the others though. Can't remember a scouse teacher when I was there till 1980, I take it he taught after I left.

Good description, horrible person, the scouser probably did start after you left, he’s about early 70’s now but taught on Murkeyside before moving here some years ago.
