North Stand Construction Discussion

It's going to have 63k seats which will make it the 2nd biggest club stadium in England (only behind Old Trafford).

62k. Less than West Ham's capacity. Still wonderful though. I think by the end of the season we were at 52,600 so it will be a huge change.

I've noticed that the centre entrance / exit is taller than the others. They're all the same on the Populus drawings, is there a reason for this change?

Anyone notice the water troth in the middle of the stand, visible in the latest videos. That'll be what the metal C shaped frame being fixed to the terrace was then.

Thought they’d be much quicker getting those roof panels off.
Theybare doing it. There is a lot to do that is involved there.

- protect the pitch, set up cranes, base, access, remive seats etc. All done.
- connect all the end pieces above. Pretty much done
- remove the yellow gantry bearing onto the beams. started on one bay the west side,
- strip the roof cover and purlins out bsck to bare beams. Halfway there in a hit and miss bay pattern
- disconnect the cable and two connections to the beams
- remove two parts of each beam
- remove props
- make good holes, connections, check ring cable etc.

Can't see any obvious reason. I thiught maybe to gove the GA+ folk a bitnif a fancier entrance, but itnis ankevel above that. There will be something physically there as a reason I would think.

Someone has properly shat the bed with that junction at the hotel top floor step on the obtuse angle.

Let's hope thr footings are sound.

It's a funny sensation when you are up there on the jib, the jib is swaying a little the traffic going one way and the clouds going another. You are normally on a short Lanyard fitted with a glider on a wire so you are not going to fall off
