He clearly gave up on the League as soon as it was clear they weren’t going to go down.
With the injuries he faced, he had priorities and that was winning silverware. He put all his eggs in that basket and they hatched!
The Spurs BOD, esp Levy, are mental if they can’t see what he was dealing with and what he produced from that.
They exist in a Gold Stadium with a brass transfer policy for a supposed top club.
While he was clearly let down by the squad, and the buck has to stop with him, he should have been given the backing to take them into the CL knowing the money from the tournament was definitely welcomed, but the League position needed to be “Europe.”
Spurs have snatched defeat from the jaws of their victory yet again and I, for one, am sad to see him go. Cue the ubiquitous “Spurs rebuild” under the new manager!!!
