Postecoglou Gone

Spurs continuing to be very Spursy.
2nd - yes 2nd - trophy in the 2000s (the other being the EFL cup in 2008), also back in the CL. Congratulations your reward is - the sack.
Just carry on getting rid of managers, don't back the ones you appoint, have no apparent coherent plan - what could go wrong?????
(Not that I'm really upset - it's lovely, they tried to toe the party line with the red shirts so feck em. Oh and '81!!!)

He should have got another season, but let’s be honest, that Europa League win papered over some huge cracks. They were abysmal in the league and were lucky that bottom three were very poor. Not sure if the Brentford manager would suit them.

Shocking performance in the league but has won them a trophy and got them into the CL through the back door via that trophy and beating some other poor teams on the way.

If the club feel he's not gonna significantly improve them in the league next season, then should they keep him based on that trophy? They don't wanna be regulars in the bottom 6 or so.

It's a tough one. I think he deserved another season though.

He clearly gave up on the League as soon as it was clear they weren’t going to go down.

With the injuries he faced, he had priorities and that was winning silverware. He put all his eggs in that basket and they hatched!

The Spurs BOD, esp Levy, are mental if they can’t see what he was dealing with and what he produced from that.

They exist in a Gold Stadium with a brass transfer policy for a supposed top club.

While he was clearly let down by the squad, and the buck has to stop with him, he should have been given the backing to take them into the CL knowing the money from the tournament was definitely welcomed, but the League position needed to be “Europe.”

Spurs have snatched defeat from the jaws of their victory yet again and I, for one, am sad to see him go. Cue the ubiquitous “Spurs rebuild” under the new manager!!!

Zero stability is, apparently, the Spurs way!

Spurs/Levy operates in a weird way.
But I think the two parties were not exactly on good terms, as none of their coaches seems to be. Which manager wants to go through hat crap, if not for the money?
