To be fair, from behind, you can’t really see the legs connecting, which was his view on the pitch. The upper body contact is pretty close to shoulder to shoulder, so it’s not an awful call as zi can see how he’s interpreted it.

It’s what VAR is there for. It gives perspectives from all round the pitch.
