Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

Where are we up to with it? Have they sold them all yet?

I was hoping to snag a couple for me and my lad but no joy, I'm guessing only members that had enough points qualified for a season ticket?
No, you had to have purchased a set amount of home games (any competition) in the season just ended. 20 for adults and 14 for juniors I think it was. There was also some allowed for existing season card holders wanting to add a junior.

This was new criteria this year though. Last year was x number of PL games over 2 seasons so it could be something different again next season.

I’ve given up hope of getting my son’s back after I gave it up when he went to uni, like many will inevitably do. They’re making it difficult for returnees in my opinion.

Ah ok thanks, to attend 20 games paying the current extortionate matchday prices is out of reach for many in the current climate isn't it, so much cheaper with a season ticket but hey ho it's the way of the world today isn't it, it's all just business at the end of the day.

It actually dropped to 12. I think City overestimated the demand. But who knows what the criteria will be next year!

It's a step in the right direction that they did it this way though, as opposed to last year's broad criteria of 15 games across two seasons, or worse, as in previous years', first come first served, resulting in an absolute free for all. This puts flexi tickets in the hands of those who will use them for the majority of the time, rather than those who simply want to get one to guarantee tickets for the big games.

Absolutely. It’s far fairer way. You can’t help but think that if dropped as far as 12 games this year, that with the North Stand expansion it may go lower next year. I always thought 20 games was a high bar. Thats a lot of money to spend on individual games.

Yeah it'll no doubt go lower than 12 next seaso. There were 1500 FGs in total released this time round, and even less available to members after the Junior pull through window and they still struggled with the criteria. With over 4000 to be released with the North Stand expansion I'd expect weaker criteria again. If you're a member and want to be sure of an ST for next season, go to at least 12 home takes and you'll be fine I reckon.

It’s a system but not sure it’s fairer. My son has earned 4000 points over the years and we ensured we bought enough games to qualify for a chance this season IF the previous two season criteria had continued (We were 1 game short last year). Not only that, I was sharing his sister’s sc with him for the cup schemes having to buy those for the two of us so he attended about 20 in total.

Now it’s changed criteria, I will be dropping the CL and LC cup schemes and concentrating on getting 14 or 15 PL games for him instead plus a couple of FA games and so I don’t need to buy expensive CL games for us both in our seats (we’ll pick up some cheaper seats if we feel like it). The club will actually get less money from us overall next season probably, but I need to play the system.

It’s always been a case of playing the system

Yes you do. Which is a shame. It becomes a slog when it’s supposed to be fun.

I think there were 8 home cup games last season. Most of them pretty cheap. So it looks like you could have got a Flexi ST next year if you attended as few as 4 home league games. Maybe 2, as I think the Semis and Final might have been included?

Wembley games not included, which left me the wrong side of the cut off, so unfortunately its the mad july scramble for me again ☹️

Must be getting mixed up. There was definitely criteria for something recently where they said attendance at Wembley games counts.

Just googled who Esme Morgan is as I don't watch women's footy.

Bloody hell, been a season ticket holder for 21 years so she would have been going when we were shit and from Sheffield.
And a former player, so should keep her card.

I might be wrong! all I know is that I didn't make the cut this year, I did qualify in previous season but wasn't quick enough when they were released
Not sure its worth the hassle anymore, getting too old & opted out of champs lge last season cos getting back home at 3am was too much & the extra 4 home games (as a glory hunter I went to the RM game!) cost me the chance of ST

Though might think again when ST for the new stand are released

Would be good if they give indication of criteria in advance

Or have tiered availabilty to the match day tickets to 'reward' previous attendances (but thats for a different thread on the forum)
