I am very exited about Cherki because of the technique he has exhibited for Lyon and France but I would caution that he is 21 and he will be playing in a new and stronger league. There are discussions above re Savinho. Savinho aged 20 was ripping up La Liga and fired Girona into the Champions League and yet struggled to adapt to the Premier League in his first season. We are buying a young person who is still developing. That is very exciting because he hasn't reached his potential yet but it also means that his development might be problematic. Savinho and Doku have been written off many times by fans on here but are clearly special talents. It would be easier for these young players if KDB was in the side aged 28 and City were purring; instead Cherki has to become the playmaker in the side at 21 years of age. That's difficult.

True but Cherki seems to have a bit of Ederson about him, nothing seems to faze him.
 
I think we should hold off on an announcement until the first game of the CWC. Team gets announced with Gundo in the middle and everyone gets ready to start raging online. Seconds before the kick off Gundo retweets the City line up with a picture of him smoking a pipe and having a brew with a big question mark. Then the Gundo on the pitch pulls of the Gundo mask he'd been wearing and it is Jack Grealish! Everyone is like WTF he wasn't in the squad until that mask gets pulled off and it's actually Pep. He runs to embrace the Pep on the touchline who pulls off his face and it's actually Wirtz. Everyone is now over it and just really feeling like the whole thing has gone on too far when Wirtz pulls of his mask and it's really Shaun Wright Philips. The American crowd wonder who he is and how me managed to hide the step ladder to make him look like an adult sized human. In the confusion Cherki arrives by parachute and lands elegantly on the centre circle but no one cares anymore.

He then goes on to have an average debut and everyone calms down

Ankanji should be nowhere near starting, and Agree on Foden he needs to have a good summer aand some time to get his health issues sorted or I only see him having a similar seaon as this year

I agree. Although he's vastly more experienced than Khusanov he's injury prone and prone to making mistakes . I'd like to see Khus in defence at RCB and RB. He too will make mistakes through inexperience but he's rapid at spotting danger and getting a tackle in.
