Rayan Ait-Nouri - signed! | Joins City on a 5-year deal

Think this will be a very good signing, now get the other two done before the CWC farce, give them a few games to bed in
The CWC is going to be very awkward but it is the way football is going. The challenge for City is to make it work.

It's going to be huge for City to have a full-back who can overlap. It could work very well with Doku but they will need to train together.

I think/hope we are canning the wingers and playing a bit more narrow, with our width being our full backs. Probably wrong but exciting all the same.

I hardly know anything about him. I mean not watched him play especially. Sounds good though. Looking forward to the extra dynamic he will bring.

I hope he gels well with doku and savinho or whoever plays ahead of him.

All the very best Rayan welcome to the best team in all the land and all the world....

All the highlights show him up the pitch - I've hardly seen him play, just hope he can defend...

I think the wide forwards will invert. Against the low block, the wing backs high up the pitch is likely to pay dividends. It stretches the play. The interesting thing is: who will they be?

Given you're a fan of a team that conceded 86 goals in 38 games would you recognise defending if you saw it?

;)
Ouch! I think I can remember it (and at least 2 of those goals were nearly offside, anyway) :-).

Seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing this guy in a City shirt, but I'd like to see some balance in the highlights.

Most of the pain this season stemmed from when we were on the back foot, I'd like to see those holes addressed more than anything further up the field.

Looking at him play, there is a fair amount of improvement left in him. His main issue is balancing going forward and defending. he has been caught out up the pitch sometimes and giving the ball away in high risk situations but then I have watched him where he focuses on defending and has done a really good job locking down that side. I expect him to improve in this area and become a good signing. I believe he is, at least, as good as walker was when he joined us.
