According to a number of reports Bernie had a £50m buy out clause inserted in his last contract renewal. Contract expires end next season. Clubs sniffing can meet this value.

Replacements take time to settle in and adapt. Rodri did, Bernado did etc.
We may buy (or bought in January) some potentially great players but having intelligent players like Bernado who can help them integrate is important.
I don’t disagree, but I think he’s coming into his last year and, if so, that’s a fee and a high salary off the books for another player.

What An Incredible Signing..
He's been great.

As much as I lover bernado it’s time to leave
The rebuild is happening and he isn’t what he was.
If the offer from Saudi is true I’d take it
Can’t see more than £30m unless Mendes works his magic

He turns 31 this summer and I don't believe he's past it at all.

His game has never relied on pace, but he's so much better when energised. I don't think people give enough credit to the fact he's played an incredible amount of football over the past 9 years, 60 games a season on average.

The fella needs a long rest. Then he'll be back to the player he was. Not sure when he's supposed to get that with the Club World Cup mind.

same every season on here. He's been 'going' for 5 years...
Tbf to all, he does seem like he has been itching to leave, but as City tell all players with a contract, bring the deal and we’ll have a look at it. It appears he hasn’t and for that I’m grateful, as he was pivotal in saving this past season and I’m glad he got his just desserts for a very good season in Munich last night!

I kinda hope he stays, if only because his ability to keep the ball centrally suits Pep ball so much.

He is also not that old, can bring experience to the new players coming in, and showed the mentality the the squad needed when others heads were down.

I think Gundogan should move on moreso because of his age, and the fact his role as an attacking 8 can be filled by Reijnders or Foden.

All the potential City lineups I’ve seen for next season, none of them have Silva in there. Hard to see how he fits in tbh.

i think hell be a sub if he stays tbh. the bonus is you can take off almost 8 players in the starting XI and drop him in no problem he can cover them all. Only really CB or GK he cant work in.

Ultimate sub.

In CM he can be very effective at recycling the ball but with Rodri back now and a host of others do we need him? Surely that can be taken on by the younger lads.

But for a few games at the end of last season, he was extremely poor for the most part, and if we can get a decent fee for him then we should move him on.

Khaldoon’s acceptance of the need for a more aggressive transfer policy this summer will relate to outgoings as well as new signings, so I can’t see us turning down a decent bid.
