I actually quite enjoy Hawskbee and Jacobs on the odd afternoon as it's mostly humourous with perhaps a bit more chat about Spurs and Chelsea as they support them. Other than that I avoid all the other shows as they're not good for my blood pressure.
 
I know it's been mentioned plenty on here in the past but Christ there are some proper bitter fucks that post on that BBC comments pages, I mean they light the touch paper by saying where will Reijnders fit in etc etc, but the comments......................you'd think we'd won the league again last season and are about to again next season, bitter bitter bastards

These days the media just fuels hate and tribalism. Pep’s comments were about children across the world including Gaza, Sudan, and Ukraine. He namechecked his own children and said he was speaking as a dad. The haters have twisted his words as usual. He was addressing an audience of young students.

I find that it's mainly the same spotty face dippers who write on HYS, just different account names

It's a cesspit of hatred. It's no accident that they don't have HYSs on the Scottish League as they'd need a small army to monitor comments on Celtic and Rangers.
For a long while I've wanted to ask the BBC how much it costs them to run the football HYSs. I should pull my finger out and do so. Whatever it costs would be better spent elsewhere
 
Just been listening to The Rest is Football podcast on the Club World Cup.

They had a female guest on who absolutely knew more about most of the competing teams than Lineker, Shearer and especially Micah Richards did.

In fact, Micah Richards made a complete tit of himself yet again by struggling to pronounce the name of Brazilian side Botofogo.

I'd love to say Meeks thought it was some kind of dance, but I don't think Mr we buy any car is a contemplative soul.
 
cannot believe "How does reijnders get into this man city midfield" is a sentence i had to listen to today from a person getting paid to give their football opinion

I sort of understand what he's saying but he is completely wrong anyway.
We never did sign the top level of player - it was United that signed Di Maria, Falcao, Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo, etc, and look where it got them. We signed De Bruyne, Aguero, David Silva, Ruben Dias, Rodri, etc, who were very good players, but not rated at the very top of the game at the time, and look where that got us. Grealish & Haaland are the exceptions to that general rule, but they turned out not too bad either.
Signing players just under that top level for less than half the fees of guys like Wirtz is definitely the better option.

What bothers me is that some/most HYS comments are downright racist and libellous. How the BBC team don’t view them as not breaking the house rules is scandalous.
 
BBC Sport reporting on the Wirtz fee...

Wirtz's fee would be only half that of the world record, which remains the £200m PSG paid for Neymar in 2017.

Virtually every word they said is incorrect (apart from the South American guy who talked a little sense at least)!! This will be like the KDB video with Thompson/Merson all those years ago

The how does Cherki and Reinders get in the team too tgen they list grealish, doku and savino 3 player who don't even play in the same positions.
 
As long as they slag us, know that we are doing well. The bitterness will only stop once we are irrelevant and not dangerous enough. We have given them lifetime of pain in these past 15 years. I mean, just look at Ogden's face, he looks like every ounce of joy and positivity have been sucked out of him!
