Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Everybody who participated in the protests, hold your heads up high.
Brilliant news! This is all because of the hard work put in by the likes of the 1894 group and others. It shows we can make a difference if we stick together

It also means the faith I had in Mansour to sort this out through Khaldoon was well placed. I am pleased about that. I always thought they were men of their word.

Really good news and like you say well done to the club for fixing this. But it wouldn’t have happened without the work behind the scenes of City Matters, 1894 and the excellent protests.

Also, clear, straightforward and upfront information. Pretty much what Khaldoon promised in his end of season update.

It should certainly mean it will be easy for us to fill the stadium as the extra capacity becomes available.
Khaldoon did, didn't he.

Khaldoon didn't look one bit happy in his end of season interview about why the fans were protesting about ticket prices, and the disconnect between the fans and the directors.

The protests weren't a good image for Khaldoon or his boss, Sheikh Mansour.

Khaldoon promised there would be further announcements. Hec was true to his word.

Thank you Khaldoon.

I'm a bit disappointed with this to be honest. Because with this announcement and the price freeze on season tickets...what's left to moan about?

I might have to try to remember how to feel happy and (God forbid) maybe even crack a smile for once.
It will be very hard to get a ticket now! Don’t worry we can still moan about that! At least until the new stand is finished

This is great news, although the shitfest of getting tickets when released will be mental. Needs must though.

Could anyone fill me in on this "10 game minimum" thing?
I don't have an ST at present due to finances and tend to pick up a last minute ticket for cheap from blues reselling.
My mate keeps banging on that the club have changed the rules about how many you are allowed to transfer to friends/family?
I knew there was a cap on how many times you could sell back to the club.
Am I correct that they are limiting the amount of times you can transfer to friends/family?

Hate to put a downer on what is being perceived as good news but what about all the ticket reseller sites? Will they still sell the tickets they receive at hugely inflated prices or not and will they receive more to sell once the new stand is operational?

Next step is to remove this ludicrous 10 game attendance nonsense.
Let's hope with the new pricing won't be many left for the ticket sites.

As far as I understand it yes

The seasoncard holder must use it themselves a minimum of 10 times and the card can be transferred to a f&f up to 6 times a season

I can still moan about having >5000 loyalty points but being placed randomly in an online queue along with people who don't even know who the Goat is. I think this selling all the matches at the start of the season and not allowing non-ST holders to resell is a big factor in the blue empty seats.

It’s really good news. We still have viagogo and the like and still have the 10 match policy though so still have stuff to address. They have listened though and that’s very encouraging. Well done to everyone that organised the protests but City Matters must still act as a true voice of the fan.

True, though not sure how much Viagogo or the resellers will impact fans now, with the new prices and increased capacity coming. The only thing I'd add is to reintroduce loyalty points for matchday sales in the bigger games.
