Sky have it at £116.2M

BBC have it at £100M

It looks like the dippers are still bidding with themselves for him.

Seriously though, this is why the British media don't do themselves any favors. Just report what the whole package including add ons and wages is costing Liverpool FC. My guess is that it's somewhere around £180M.

They do it when MCFC sign a player. So by reporting reduced figures when Liverpool sign a player Just looks bad.

They (media) either look like a bunch of amateurs who get their sources off football forums or they come across as insecure children in the playground trying to convince everyone that their dad can fight your dad.
Wirtz is a £100m signing like Haaland was a £51m signing.

Yeah

Fans will say it's a myth but why do all managers and pros say it?

It's a very intimidating place to go for teams, they say it themselves, it’s not just me saying it. It's the closest thing in England to the likes of Galatasaray, especially The Kop.
When’s I’ve watched City marches at Klanfield - don’t watch non-City games with the sound on - it’s like a fucking morgue most of the time.

To say that the atmosphere is intimidating is simply nonsense.

Anfield is the place of the home referee's and officials, the intimidation is based on the officials giving them everything. letting them kick shit out of the opponents and stopping the teams playing their normal game

Are the terrorist supporting, sanction breaking financers still their shirt sponsors?

Ask Klopp and Slot, the liars, Liverpool can't compete with City financially.

he move will make Wirtz, 22, Liverpool's club record signing, the most expensive German football ever - and the biggest sale by a Bundesliga club.

Liverpool already have the world's second most expensive goalkeeper - Alisson - and centre-back - Virgil van Dijk..

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has claimed the Premier League is stronger than ever, citing stiff competition against Manchester City's 'unlimited' wealth.20 Apr 2025

The top 4 (or 5) is gonna be immensely strong next year, I can't wait.

Probably the strongest top 5 teams ever?

Liverpool - Adding Wirtz, Kerkez (?) , Frimpong
Arsenal - Adding Sesko, Zubimendi (?)
City - Adding Nouri, Reijnders, Cherki
Chelsea - Adding Estevao, Santos, Delap
Newcastle - Adding Pedro (?) + More

I think any of first four can win it next year, Newcastle might be a stretch, but you never know if they have an injury free season and add £200 M worth of talent.

No mate , in 2021 every team played on an equal playing field (No Fans)
When Liverpool won the league they had the advantage of playing all the top teams at home in the 1st part of the season with Fans in the ground

Mate, they were 25 points clear before lockdown even happend 82 points to 57. The league was won. You're clutching at straws big time here.

Besides, Liverpool and City both had same fixtures against the top teams in lockdown. And had already played the same top teams before it. It was all square. From lockdown on wards, both had Chelsea, Arsenal and eachother to play. They both won 1 and lost 2. And as for the City - Liverpool fixture, Liverpool got battered 4-0.

Add in the fact that city won more of their lockdown games than Liverpool, and won them convincingly. Three 5-0's, two 4-0's, a 3-0 etc. City got on just fine with covid. The gap in the table even reduced from 25pts before covid, to 18 come end of the season. So what advantage are you even talking about? Lol.

Liverpool were going for 100+ points so you can't say that they just stopped playing because the league was already won, if thats what you were gonna come up with. They wanted that record broken and set. I think if it wasn't for the postponement they'd have gotten it.

C'mon. You dont even believe a single word of what you just typed. Its not like you can believe it anyway, because nothing you said was even true.

Unfortunately just had a conversation with a Liverpool fan. I agreed with him that Wirtz was a very good player and all was good. I then said what fantastic business City did getting three brilliant players for £106M thinking he would certainly agree.
I think it is impossible to really say whether either team has done good business yet, as it will all depend on how they perform. Ait-Nouri should be a given as hitting the ground running and being an excellent buy. We could hopefully say the same if we do actually complete on Kerkez.
The biggest issue though will be those big players and whether they can adapt. Here I think City are in the better position as you spread the load so to speak, whereas we really do appear to have lumped it all on Wirtz. I really like everything I have seen of Reijnders and Cherki alongside a fresh (and hopefully fully fit/firing) Rodri, is going to make one hell of a midfield.

looks like Robertson is on way to athletico madrid
Maybe wishful thinking but when they have Frimpong and kerkez at full backs there’s nothing to say they are as good

If it’s true that the horrible twat Robertson is fucking off, I will be delighted.

An absolute scumbag, whose antic of shoving opposition into the advertising hoardings is deplorable.

Arsenal will not win anything
