16 Most Followed Football Clubs in England Ranked in New Study

Surprisingly, Manchester City are one place above Liverpool, with 179.5m social media followers. Pep Guardiola's side became one of the most dominant teams in the history of English football following the former Barcelona manager's arrival and that form has seen them become one of the most followed teams in the country. They've got a long way to go before they catch up to their local rivals, though. Manchester United, despite all their struggles lately, are by far the most followed team in England, with 233.6m social media followers.

How many follow United to take the piss

The first word, 'suprisingly'.
Why is anyone duprised that we have more followers than the dippers?

If the media didn't continually spout shite about them they wouldn't even be third.
Presumably, this is world wide, not just in the UK.

Given the fact that we recently won Four In A Row, and The Treble, it’s not really surprising.

Reports suggest that we are the most watched team in the US, and I’m sure that there are plenty of other countries where this is the case, too.

Our popularity and appeal are growing all the time.

It is 'surprising ' considering that practically every Rag and Dipper game is televised. Then Arse on screen and we appear to be way down the picking order for TV showings. (I'm talking Sly and TNT here).

So well done our Blue Boyz considering the obstacles in our way.

Stat can't be correct though. I mean arent the Dips the biggest, bestest, most supported club in derr werrrld, why ders over a million at dem der trophy parades la.....and City get 100!!!!

In the premier league era the scouse cunts have a grand total of two titles in 34yrs, they should be a total irrelevance to young modern day fans, but the media portraying them as “ good old Liverpool” who don’t spend money like oil rich city have brainwashed youngsters

Could be wrong but won’t this be millions of red shirts signing up waiting for news of our relegation to the national league lol
