Tell me more, tell me more, tell me more.......If anyone is interested, Wynne Evans ( Opera singer, DJ, Go Compare insurance )....he who was turfed off BBC Wales and dragged through the media for various misdemeanors on Strictly has his own web based show starting monday. He was always a bit close to the edge and a conversation I had with him on air got me banned so this should be good......
Long story short ( ish ) He had a phone in for anyone with tenuous connections to Elvis Presley, I pulled over and phoned in. Told him whilst on a U S road trip with an ex girlfriend, who was married at the time...I was asked to leave Graceland as I was caught sitting on one of Elvis's chairs. He got onto the subject of why I was with a married woman on a US road trip. I'd just got divorced and she's just paid a ' redneck' ' $3000 so she could live in the States.....the word REDNECK is not allowed on the Beeb, strike one !! I got a telling off on air. Then we got on to talking about Elvis tribute acts. I mentioned sarcastically that there are so many Elvis tribute band because he is actually dead. He then mentioned Steps tribute bands and I said that Steps really should be dead....Strike two....there was a pregnant pause and the line went dead. I'd forgot at this stage that the gay one from Steps does actually have a late night radio show on BBC Wales. Got back to work and asked one of the girls to get it on playback just as proof.Tell me more, tell me more, tell me more.......
