It's Quiet the £250m return

Wonder if this will affect anything currently in the works ?

Of course, any new regulations will not be introduced this summer.

So they just buy up their contract in as the years’ wages? So someone on £10m a year has three years left and just has to pay £30m even if that club might want twice as much?

If that rule comes in, it means a club will drop the fee, especially if the player says he wants out! Maybe a £30m contract pay-up you get for £40m?

This also has to be enforced worldwide…

Why right back ?
We have soo many defenders and there are are at least 4/5 players (rico, akanji, khusanov, nunes, stones) who can play right back and above that they are not going anywhere.
I have a real radical idea - stay with me on this. We've just got a left back into the club, wouldn't it be good to get a proper right back and stop getting players to fill in in a position that they're not natural in?

FIFA announced an early window so that clubs in the CWC could do business before the competition started. The other PL clubs didn't want City and Chelsea getting an advantage so voted to open the PL window at the same time. FIFA rules only allow a transfer window of a certain length, so the PL were forced to shut the window for a short period,

Wow - that state of this

Inflated transfer fees like £50m for the world’s most prolific goal scorer and at a young age. What about £80m for his near namesake,Hopeless Hojlund

I think they are not arguing the fee we paid for haaland would be inflated, but rather others would in the future be able to get him for a fee that we wouldn't be able to inflate. As I skim-read it, but tbh, wasn't bothered enough to pay much attention.

KSA and other non-EU countries will have a field day with this one
I think this in general would have more of a positive effect for City, a club most players in the world would want to play for, and have more of a negative effect for the clubs not considered to be amongst the elite in the world.
