It's Quiet the £250m return

It will lead to longer contracts to effectively increase the salary multiplier....do the Chavs know something we don't with all their new recruits on long contracts?????

Will we ever have what I would call 4 traditional or proper fullbacks ? We have Anti Nouri will surely get a right back but no chance of back up fullbacks. Why ? Will it happen eventually ? Perhaps when older midfielders or CB move on ?

Maybe 3, squad size being what it is.

They definitely know something about salary structure since even Palmer is not on much.

Jack Grealish makes almost triple what Palmer does and is much harder to move despite only having a year left.

After Pep is the most probable as he is the master of having players who are capable of playing different positions

Thats great if you want to shift players on but if you want to keep your star players then you are screwed especially if you aren't one of the entitled clubs.

Brentford want £70m for Mbueno but I believe he's on 45k a week so a compensation package for 2 years would be around £5m

How is this any different to the Webster rule, article 17 of Fifa transfer regulations?
Doesn't the Webster ruling only apply if the club haven't played the player in a certain number of games in a season i.e. out of favour, whereas this would impact players who were first choice every week?

Sounds like another way to just entrench the biggest teams at the top. Although I include us in that, the biggest beneficiaries would be the failing 'big' clubs, such as Spurs and united.

It makes sense if they did. At first, it appeared that they were handing out long contracts to spread out the amortisation expenses; UEFA then capped that at 5 years, but they continued to hand out these extra long contracts, and we have subsequently done the same with Haaland for no apparent reason. There appears to be something afoot.

If it is implemented, a wage cap must accompany it. Instead of capping wages at 70% of each individual club's revenue, I'd prefer to see them capped at 70% of the league's average revenue per club, or 70% of your own revenue, whichever is lower.

No team would. Gonna end up as a loan where we pay half the wages
