Stadium Turnstile Upgrades

This threads jumped the shark then
Invaded by The Gammonry talking bollocks about supermarkets, rather than a serious issue that will not only affect City fans, but all football fans, and much sooner than they think
Proud that City fan groups are front and centre in campaigning on these issues
Fantastic stuff by MCFC Foodbanks, Trade Union Blues and 1894 in actually giving a shit about fans in general, rather than the bootlickers who think we should just roll over
Oh and Parker can fuck right off, sat there with his weirdo mate who voted down tacking sexual abuse in clubs

Place your face against the glass and don't fucking move or we will be here all day :)

Besides only just realising that that should read 'tackling' what's this all about?
It’s about this motion at the FSA AGM in Manchester on 14th June. The motion was carried with a huge number in favour. However, ex-City Matters rep Mo was one of a small minority who voted against it:

Motion four – Support for a ‘No Fault Stand Down’ policy in response to sexual misconduct allegations

Proposed by: Sarah Keig – Fulham Lillies
Seconded and supported by: Garibaldi Girls, Sheffield Wednesday Women’s Supporters Group, Women of Watford, Villa Bellas

This AGM notes:

The ongoing concern among fans, particularly women supporters, about how football clubs and governing bodies handle allegations of sexual misconduct, abuse, and violence against women involving players and club staff.

Football must lead by example in creating a culture of safety, accountability, and respect. The lack of a consistent, survivor-informed approach undermines trust and reinforces harmful power dynamics.

The AGM calls for the following actions, for the FSA to:

1. Formally support the campaign led by women’s supporters’ groups – including Fulham Lillies, Villa Bellas, Women of Watford, Women of the Lane, Garibaldi Girls, and the Sheffield Wednesday Women’s SupportersGroup—for the adoption of a No Fault Stand Down policy by the PremierLeague, FA, and EFL. The No Fault Stand Down rule in Australian Rugby League means that when a player is charged with a serious criminal
offence—like sexual assault or violent crime— they are automatically stood down from playing until the legal process is complete. Crucially, this doesn’t assume guilt—the no fault part means the stand down isn’t a punishment, but a neutral, protective measure. It helps safeguard the integrity of the sport and protects the player from intense public pressure while facing serious allegations. But just as importantly, it sends a clear message to women that allegations of sexual assault or violence are taken seriously by the authorities running the game. As fans who love football, we believe bringing this rule into the Premier League,
EFL, and National League would show that the sport values safety, respect, and accountability. It would help women feel more confident and comfortable supporting the teams they love, knowing the game is standing up for what’s right—on and off the pitch.

2. Advocate for a policy requiring any player, coach, or club employee accused, charged, or under active investigation for serious sexual misconduct or violence against women to be stood down from public-facing roles and club duties on a precautionary, non-punitive basis, pending the outcome of legal or safeguarding proceedings.

3. Collaborate with the above groups to promote transparent, consistent, and survivor-centred safeguarding policies across football and to ensure respond to serious allegations with transparency, consistency, and survivor-centred safeguarding.

4. Promote and support ongoing education and prevention work to challenge misogyny and gender-based violence and build a culture of allyship and respect throughout the game.

This motion reaffirms the FSA’s commitment to making football a safe, respectful and inclusive space for all supporters and stands in solidarity with the women supporters’ groups leading this critical work for change.

Vote – Motion carried with an amendment extending the motion to the women’s game, 15 votes against and 23 abstentions.

I've looked back a few pages to check if these new turnstiles have been seen before but I can't see anything. Anyway, took these photos today:

Thanks.

Looking at your picture, City ave installed TEAMcard F7.

The 2 Face Recognition Cameras are at the top of the unit.

Future-proofed for advanced biometric access control requirements, the TEAMcard F7 features an integrated camera bar which can be activated to capture the face of supporters entering the venue. (remember, FR it's just staff the staff initially, according the club)

TEAMcard is installed at Ipswich, Bournemouth, Stoke, Aberdeen, etc.

Yeah but of course it’s only for “staff access”, honest….
Dear me, are people really that gullible?

And to my knowledge, staff never pass through the same turnstiles as the fans anyway. They tend to go through a separate door after collecting their match day accreditation. Well that's how it's worked for me whenever I've been on accreditation

Guess we all need to put on our balaclavas once we’ve passed the wand waving security - & go through the turnstiles with our faces hidden

Yeah that's one of the biggest concerns to me. Stewards go through K, and media go through S turnstile. Why install camera enabled scanners on every turnstile if the stated reason in the announcement email was they'd just be for staff usage?

I understand the need for quicker technology etc, it's the wording and intention with regards to the camera technology that doesn't fill me with trust. Especially given the company jrb linked states quite openly that they have facial recognition capability. Why can't the club be honest and say "we have no intention of using these for supporters *at the moment*..."

From what I've heard, the ICO are currently looking at City on this, looks like the club are trying to get ahead of any changes in law. Wish they didn't do it so underhanded.

I really don't know what people are worried about, you think they'll be fooled by these?

Just had an email saying level numbers / blocks row numbers have all changed. We’re now row 27 instead of AA in block 035, not 135!
