North Stand Construction Discussion

Can only keep trying, like I said on the video it was far easier when you could see the lifts outside as it was a matter of just sitting and waiting for it to start. Now as it’s inside it’s pure guesswork to what stage they are at and how long it will take. I’m guessing that piece is down now, then dismantled tomorrow and then start dropping the next section on Wednesday. Well that’s what I’m hoping as I plan to spend a few hours there on Wednesday
Since the remaining 4 sections are central and away from the E & W roofs I suspect it may go a bit quicker.

Interesting that when they cut off the old roof they left the support for it , and I am not talking about the tension net the actual bar that connects to the tension net is still there .

They haven't done that on the eastern bay that has been taken down. The support rods came with it, and a clean disconnection on the top node.

To the main contributors to this thread (I won't name them as I'm bound to forget someone, but you guys know who you are, as we all do); you chaps are a godsend to those of us who can't get down to the stadium on a regular basis. Your photos, drone footage and "written" (typed?) updates are brilliant. Please, keep them coming.

I have done 3 major builds so far.
Anfield - good views but next to no interaction with fans, club constantly tried to ban us, didn’t bother attempting to join any forums.
Everton - less views but good interaction with the fans, the club and the builders.
Joined a forum but in general they support the local droners rather than an “outsider”
Etihad - great views, great interaction with fans and obviously this forum.
Zero interactions from the club or but also they leave us totally alone to do our thing, I did learn from the Sisk open event that they do watch the videos and I also know one contractor used my videos to see progress and know when they needed to get on with the next stage.

Who knows what the future will bring, elland road is starting next year and looks promising.
Circus tent in principle could be a game changer regarding views and earnings, I already have an agreement in place with one of the major United podcasters who are going to use and promote my footage.

Then JRB must of been mind reading, I have always said I will give up after the circus tent regardless of how well it does.
Re the circus tent project, you could drop a few grenades on it in homage to Uwe’s grandad. Go out in a blaze of glory! We won’t tell anyone it was you.

Totally concur with these sentiments. Living up in Scotland its been and will continue to be a great thread to keep reading. Keep Droning along

I suppose you dropping a napalm bomb or 4 on each of them is out of the question? Er; in the middle of the night, when there's no one around, obviously!
