The big pay days and early retirement for them will be when the Circus Tent goes up in Trafford. A 3 year build. They can hang up there drones after that.

One thing is for sure, they won't make better forum mates on Red Cafe than they have done on Blue Moon.

As I commented on one of Colin's videos, even if they're ahead of schedule, this is Manchester and they should be pressing on as quickly as they can. You can't take the weather for granted.

Don't panic They usually take longer for the first off testing the best way of going about it My guess is two this week and three next should get it done they have until July 5th assuming 6 weeks for pitch and away first

Id love a big pay day, I enjoy the interaction on here with you all and appreciate you all watching and supporting me, that will go for CP aswell. With anything you have to work at it, somedays you will do a video and think that's not a good one and it will do well. Other times you will do one and think it will go really well and surprisingly it doesn't. I always try and see as much as I can on the videos. Cheers

It's not just about taking the old roof down,there is lot of preparatory work goes on before each section can be moved.
And they are also working on the new roof at the same time.
Check in again on Friday and I think the majority of the old roof will be gone .
They've got another 3 weeks before the handover

I think Friday is a bit ambitious, for most of the roof to be gone. Think they will get the far eastern bay down onto the ground, and if lucky have one of the next ones braced and ready (by that i mean the lifting beam attached to the front and the gantry disconnected from either side at the back). As of yesterday, none are ready to come down yet, although the far east one could be by tomorrow, the pace they have been going at last week.

Interesting that when they cut off the old roof they left the support for it , and I am not talking about the tension net the actual bar that connects to the tension net is still there .

Yeah I pointed this out before, see below. I know they still need to circle back to make good on the nodes, but would have thought it easier to disconnect the rods and have less to take down when revisiting

They are disconnecting the beams from the cable supports at the bottom connection, leaving the two rods attached to the cable. So they will need to go back round and tidy that all up and disconnect the tops too. I would have thought it easier to bring the rods down with the coupled bay. But then I guess they still need to go back round and make good, so maybe ther is efficiency in just getting it down and dealing with disconnecting the rest and making good in one pass.

But perhaps access is easier with the roof out the way as rhey can get closer to the top with a mewp, whereas now they can do the bottom by someone physically being/walking on the old roof beam.

One hopes having gone through the process of prepping, detaching and dismantling/destroying the first panel last week/this week and hopefully completing the same for the 2nd panel (at the other end) this week, they should have a good feel of how long it will take to to the remaining 4 centre panels - this second one and the other 4 simply cannot take a week like the first one or its not going to be ready for the start of the season!

it looks as if they are doing one roof section at a time and taking it apart on the pitch before starting on another roof section. Either that's the plan or it's no going as fast as they thought it would be going. We'll see next week, which will be a better indicator of what the plan is.

I don't think people notice the amount of prep that is going on simultaneously on each bay, at the same time as the one remived is being chewed up on the ground.

But I partly agree, I think once they get into the swing of it and the prep is done, the subsequent bays will come down faster than the previous ones. And the overlap will then kick in and be visible.

It shows how big and intimidating the North stand will be for the away fans, as it seems to be roughly viewed from the South East corner of the Etihad where the away fans are located.

As of Friday’s video from @cpoverview, I think two of the telehandlers located on the rails attached to the old roof were still in use, located in the middle sections of the stand.

I have zero information on the likely schedule of works, but I was a bit surprised to see that, given the talk of a small window of opportunity to get on the pitch and remove the old roof.

Could be reading too much into it, but could that suggest that the middle sections of the roof aren’t actually scheduled to be removed for a while yet (i.e. next week), as they still need to use the machinery situated on top of the old roof?

Doesn’t really matter anymore considering they’re keeping the family stand there and aren’t moving anybody.

I think it was more of a question mark when there was the idea of having the whole tier act like our new Kippax with a huge wall of safe standing.

The seats in NS2 at the front have always been there, just the ones at the back have been removed for building work.

The only indication they would be GA+ is if they were replaced with padded seats which would happen at the end of next season if at all. Everything will come down to demand.

Same, just calling what I see. But my point was that juat because you don't see 1 of 5 bays down in week 1 of 5, or 2 of 5 bays down in week 2 of 5, doesn't mean you won't see all 5 down by the end of week 5.

But I do think seeing any more than one more down this particular week is ambitious to expect, myself.

I have done 3 major builds so far.
Anfield - good views but next to no interaction with fans, club constantly tried to ban us, didn’t bother attempting to join any forums.
Everton - less views but good interaction with the fans, the club and the builders.
Joined a forum but in general they support the local droners rather than an “outsider”
Etihad - great views, great interaction with fans and obviously this forum.
Zero interactions from the club or but also they leave us totally alone to do our thing, I did learn from the Sisk open event that they do watch the videos and I also know one contractor used my videos to see progress and know when they needed to get on with the next stage.

Who knows what the future will bring, elland road is starting next year and looks promising.
Circus tent in principle could be a game changer regarding views and earnings, I already have an agreement in place with one of the major United podcasters who are going to use and promote my footage.

Then JRB must of been mind reading, I have always said I will give up after the circus tent regardless of how well it does.

Yes but he us right in the sense that any visible change would be only in the padding.

I didn't mean to re-open that can of worms though, it was a bit of a jokey throwaway remark, but also partly positive re the overall scale of it. As you say though, a bit moot to the rest of the context and wider make-up of the stand as a whole.

I've enjoyed the journey with all builds I've covered the same as CP, no interaction from lpool, there was some interaction amd a stadium tour with Everton And Laing O'Rourke. Be interesting to see if Sisk or Man City offer us a tour once the expansion is complete. I didn't join any forums for Liverpool or Everton until recently, but get no interaction from the Everton forum. The Blue Moom forum is excellent where everyone is like minded and enjoys the content and debates. Thanks for having me
