we should have a pick dates for the pick dates thread, where we can pick dates that we think the pick dates will actually be pick dated

What’s happened in the last few seasons is that they generally stick to the published dates early on in the season.
It seems to turn to shit when it’s time for the Festive games to be confirmed but that doesn’t happen until at least a week later than it’s supposed to. Then once it’s the new year, all bets are off and the dates published in the summer become more and more laughable.

Remember though to attend your minimum of 10 games, no excuses whatsoever, drop all other plans you might have in life at the drop of City and the premier league's hat or else you're not a proper fan and your season ticket will be confiscated.

I think it's linked to the fact that the bank holiday weekend is the EFL play-off finals weekend, so Wembley is off limits so to speak. They could arrange for all PL fixtures to be completed before 17 May, but this way the season is more spread out.

Its going to be that way for at least the next 5 years.

The FA Cup final is played the week before the end of the season to 'strengthen and protect' the FA Cup competition.

10am third Wed and Thursday in July....usually.

So that’s 30 games, spread across 38 Premier League matchdays, and you think they should avoid the Premier League matchdays immediately before and immediately after the 16 Champions League matchdays?

Not avoid playing, but avoid playing games between the Top 6 teams before and after CL games. It might not be possible every fixture, but it seems like we always have a big, big game before or after a big CL game.

This is what really winds me up about the season tickets 'must attend x amount of games' rule. My job takes me all over the country and I just cannot guarantee getting to midweek games at home. So I'm probably three down for starters, that's without the inevitable rearranged games later in the season. And then the club want to have a pop at me cos I couldn't make those games.

And even if you took some leave to try and work around it, they’ll move.

Who said they were colluding. They’ve obviously seen the fixtures before we have. Even Alan Brazil had them and hour before being released. Sky probably received them over the weekend to sort tv dates out.
