I thought he looked decent.

The first awkward header was down to an utterly bizarre bounce in the opposite direction which threw him. Understandable. The bounce of the ball threw off a couple of more senior players later on in the game too.

I think he may.
Not necessarily a bad thing in his case as there are so many centre back options open to Pep at the moment.
A good loan and back to us next season.
He can afford to wait for a year as I doubt all of Ake Stones Akanji will be with us after that.

Which of our established CBs can we rely on being available? Only Gvardiol. Of the other four Dias and Akanji are fit most of the time but Stones and Ake probably less than 50%. Not sure why Khusanov has disappeared but I think we need Reiss to stay around.

He is at least a year away of playing on a weekly basis to be ready. Two years if I want to be completely honest.1 year Loan will do him good instead of waiting for 1-4 EFL games a season.

I think he'll stay so he becomes a future HG player. That may limit his appearances to cups and the odd weaker CL opponent.

I agree that he isn't ready overall, though.

Unfortunately 2 unfit players take up the same squad space as 2 fit players.
Probably know more at the end if this CWC tournament what Peps intentions are.

And there's Grealish too. He needs to transfer or at worst go on loan - but that outcome is an iffy proposition at best.

1 year loan in the PL wouldn’t be bad but I would honestly rather give up akanji + who knows who. Stones and Ake are always an injury away to miss half a season and Akanji doesn’t really offer anything special. This guy at least has a good build up play and seems rather elegant on the ball. Madrid wasn’t interested for nothing. Looking at Huijsen I can see this guy making it here too.

I have seen enough to be comfortable with moving Akanji on. Reis and Khusanov have shown me enough.

I am not worried about Akanji staying. I am also not worried about Gundogan staying. Seen enough of Santa Klaus.

But i don't think Nunes is going anywhere. I think he is settling in as the starting RB

Which is all good coz our fanbase always needs a season long issue to whine about.

Nunes being the starting RB is as good of an issue as any to flap about :)

I know pep won’t and will see it as a risk but he needs to invest into Khusanov and Reis this season. Ake and stones are luckily homegrown but I wouldn’t mind Khusanov and Reis as number 3& 4. The game allows more younger players to start due to a „ weaker generation“
