So punters camp outside the arena??? Never realised that, so where do they camp ??They also have to navigate around the matches and gigs at the arena, even having gig goers camping out days before so in some ways more difficult than a city centre location

400 bedroom hotel is big but when its next to a football stadium holding 60 thousand plus its tiny.I suppose the question is what customer base is it being built to accommodate. If it's primarily football fans, being built beside a football stadium, 99% of them would be more than happy with a Travelodge or a Premier Inn. But if they're targeting conferences, seminars, wedding receptions etc, I guess something more upmarket will be required. Which would have me wondering just how much they'll charge for a room on a match day. I'm guessing it'll be extortionate.
We have fans from all around the world who come to the Etihad, they will want to stay at the Medlock & will pay a pretty penny to stay there.

And to be fair, the metro on non-match days will be pretty handy for people getting in and out of the city centre. It’s a great location really.

I think we will see the introduction of electric buses soon. I assume battery operated rather than hydrogen fuel cell. I use the match-day buses at the weekend and they made travel to the suburbs direct. I like that.

Football fans will be a nice bonus but they won't be a big part of the business plan being only 25/30 nights out of 365.And to be fair, the metro on non-match days will be pretty handy for people getting in and out of the city centre. It’s a great location really.
I quite like the images with the three (soon to be 2) coupled bays there. Gives a different sense of scale. Agree though, when all gone the sea of concrete will show how much the stand is increasing by proportionally.@cpoverview @ssskies

Wonder of there is scope to add a few more rows of seatinng onto the back of the existing before the new season starts. Given there is no physical break, they could in theory push that as far back as practical for access to the next concourse up.
