They are multi-storey and I'm sure Blue Badge holders have to pay?
The interchange is superb but if my understanding is correct then you are not eligible for a Free bus pass if you are eligible to drive (if you are over 60 you get one anyway regardless of driving license)
So disabled people with a drivers license will have to pay for their bus fares.... and again if my knowledge serves me GMPTE is the most expensive for public transport per mile in the country.
Cheaper to drive into Bury and actually park for parking lol, the cost of using the Bus is disgraceful in Greater Manchester.
As for your comments on the Trafford Centre - it's all opinions. you don't seem to like it, find the traffic awkward etc...
I don't personally buy much from there either, I find most things there overpriced, but I did actually say this in my previous post.
Just from speaking with friends/family they seem to prefer it, rather than walking through Bury Market in the cold rain, with the risk of being mugged by the smackhead in the subway....
I do most (if not all) of my shopping Online... I have found many disabled people now doing this themselves, this falls into my line of work of I.T Support where I have helped many disabled/elderly people whilst using their computers figure out how to shop online... Once they overcome their fear of entering their bank details (lol)
if you don't like Blue Badge Holders using their badges, and have some issue with it (this goes for anyone in this topic) then go and speak to your local mp, start a facebook campaign, start voicing your concerns.. You will find people who think just like you, and who knows you might just get these badges banned?
And then Disabled people everywhere will not be able to park where they want to for ease of access, they will have to pay for parking in areas we have to...
But I can guarantee the demand to the Social Services for helping people get from A to B will increase, the cost to the NHS will increase - when stroke victim Deirdre parks further away from her destination and whilst walking awkwardly for to long, managed to slip, fall to the floor and break her hip.
On my blue badge it actually says 3 hours maximum parking. You have a clock type thing where you mark what time you park. And woe betide you if you don't display that as I once forgot when out with my daughter and she got a parking ticket and when we queried it we were told you had to have the 'clock' showing the time you parked there.There has been a BMW parked outside our office for a few days now, it hasn't moved. Anyway I was chatting to the pub landlord next to the office and the subject of this car came up.
We have a road closure in place for armed forces day and a suspension of parking. We have a stage for the salute of the parade that goes in this space.
It turns out the owner of the BMW has gone to France for four weeks !.
To you and I these carpark spaces are £3:10 an hour yet this blue badge holder can park here for a month free of charge.
The council can't move it as it has a parking permit and its doing anything wrong !!
So the parade might not go ahead because the route isn't locked and secure. It would be ashame to cancel armed forces day because of this twat. If we are lucking the council might move it on the day of the road closures and suspended parking.
It's ridiculous to me that you can park in a parking bay for a month costing the council 1000's of lost money because this bay is out of action for a month.
The car is also overhanging the over parking bay making tight to get into that space. The traffic warden said his wheels are inside the bay so nothing he can do !

I'm not sure where you are getting your information from but bus fares in Greater Manchester are £2.00 for an hour's travel and capped at £5.00 a day. They are amongst the cheapest in the country given that some councils are now charging a £3.00 minimum fare.
Bury Council's parking charges are, we believe, the cheapest across GM.
