They can fuck off. I'm still saying it like a cockney saying dozen. Very much this sort of attitude:At least I know how to pronounce DAZN now

The BBC, Guardian and many British media companies are hostile to links between FIFA and Saudi Arabia. Dan Roan wrote an article entitled ''Fifa, the Club World Cup and Saudi Arabia' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cjrne75xdqjo explaining this. We can agree or disagree with that view but it seems to be colouring their football coverage. So far the football has been good. The South American clubs are doing very well. The crowds are not brilliant, possibly because many games are played in the early afternoon in the week day, but they are similar to other global football events. The demands of global TV are leading to games through the day. That's not apathy which is the strong BBC line, its just reflects the clash between global time zones and the local time when US fans have leisure time. Regardless of that the South American, Moroccan and Egyptian support has been vibrant and the South American clubs are doing well. What an odd way to report on it.GG
Seeing the Flamengo fans around today and how excited they all are for this tournament then seeing ‘our’ media just shows the snobbery
They did a massive piece on Trent’s first match which was strange given they don’t see this as a proper tournament
We're definitely winning the empty seats cup.BBC Football's latest headline:
More than 400,000 empty seats at Club World Cup so far
Great post. Virtually everything the BBC produces is politically biased. SKY's motives for attacking the CWC are more commercial because they don't have any broadcast images and DAZN is a rival. Roan is an absolute disgrace. His social media feeds are distorted and twisted to represent his personal political views. People like him are why the BBC has lost all credibility. In the interest of balance I would say that there are still many honest BBC reporters (in London and Salford) who try to be impartial but the overall culture is the problem. It is a management failure and a lot of their own staff there are well aware of it.The BBC, Guardian and many British media companies are hostile to links between FIFA and Saudi Arabia. There are issues with rest and the football calendar but the game should be fairly reported. The BBC has decided to denigrate this tournament. It gets easier for them to do that when Liverpool and Man Utd fans would like to believe that it is meaningless. That's their coping mechanism. Most football fans though will be excited by the CWC and that will grow as the competition progresses.
I have watched a lot of matches as well. Benfica/Boca was a classic. Some great football. Much more entertaining than the tedious group stages of international football including the Euros and the WC. The BBC coverage has been dire. Slagging it off at every opportunity instead of concentrating on the football. I can only assume many of their so-called reporters are office-based and don't go to many games. The proper fans seem to be having a fantastic time from what I can see. I am gutted I can't be there for health reasons.Well I’m really enjoying the tournament so far….caught about 75% of the games most of which have been entertaining for one reason or another.
Don't listen to the BBC, the average attendance is over 30,000 and will only increase as the tournament progresses it just that the stadiums are huge.
PSG vs Atletico was over 80,000
If you haven’t caught any games I highly recommend it. If you are part of the Little England nonsense more fool you, if just dont fancy it then fair enough…
So one win will cover our latest PL fine!City prize money so far then:
Total $40.2m. Keep it coming.
- $38.2m participation bonus based on UEFA coefficient
- $2m for 1 win in group stage
They're hurting big time. We'll be hearing crickets if we win the trophy.BBC Football's latest headline:

To be fair if we weren't playing I wouldn't be that interested myself.I'd like to win it, but rather we just used it to bed in new players.Don't think the competition is a great idea, wouldn't be upset to see it scrapped. They're hurting big time. We'll be hearing crickets if we win the trophy.

Not really, I watched the CL semi finals and finals and was interested, doubt I'll watch any CWC games we aren't playing in. Can't see it continuing in this form especially if teams like Madrid, PSG, Bayern, us start to see it impact on their seasons after Christmas and into the latter stages of the CL .I feel the same about the Champions League once we get knocked out so you have to allow for personal bias in evaluating its worth. Something the media conspicuously fails to do. A world league of some description is inevitable so I'd much rather we were in the tent pissing out.
ha ha the tap is basically wide open splashing money all over the sheikh!City prize money so far then:

I am well into this tournament. Last season I was excited by it, but I worried how our squad could handle the fatigue given we were very stretched. Now its upon us I am thinking about winning a trophy in the face of overwhelming hostility. The BBC seems set against it because they think FIFA is close to Saudi Arabia, and probably they are also playing to the gallery of Liverpool and Man Utd fans who want to rubbish it because they aren't in it.I see where you are coming from but this tournament is mostly good for us. Several players aside, e.g., Dias, Bernie, Gvardiol..., most players need minutes, e g., those who were injured for prolonged periods, squad players, new players, etc. It will help us start stronger.
