The best possible signing we could get, would be John Stones having an injury free season.

Appreciate we need to be careful with him, but if the rest of the defence can be pretty reliable in terms of health/injuries, then that allows us to choose when to rest him and give him one game per week (unless there's a few big games in succession).

It's a big keep your fingers crossed though, obviously.

Sadly injury record has reduced his contribution. I think if we keep him then we are being more than fair. He should reciprocate our fairness by announcing his retirement from international duty. He cannot have it all ways.

He's never a back up. If he's 100% he's one of the first names on the teamsheet. Problem is getting him above 80% first of all.

Agreed. Its the club who has all his medical information, and if they think he's worth keeping, then he'll be staying.

He was the best in the world for two or three years, around the treble. Would love for him to stay healthy, but even if he can, I wonder how much has now been lost
