It's Quiet the £250m return

Mate - you’re having a nightmare here.

You may well be right about Gundo staying - you may not - but Sane’s minutes at Bayern have got precisely fuck all to do with either scenario.
Bayern have used him less before his move to Galatasray. His performance vs Benfica showed why they have used Sane sparingly during the CWC. If the intention was to move Gundo we would have done the same.

Think we already have, 3 of them to liverpools 1, unless you mean we should massively overpay for a very good signing.
I think for at least 2 (Cherki and Ait Nouri) it remains to be seen whether they can do it at the very top table.

I mean a signing that’s been doing it consistently in the champions league, someone like Rodrygo.

Good for them.

What’s this got to do with City/Gundo?
We would have used Gundo less as well. Pep thinks he can still do a job for this season. Along with the new signings it is going to be a lot smoother return and fingers crossed he can leave City like he had done in his first spell. First and foremost move Walker and Grealish and Phillips on.

Don't need and haven't got room for Rodrygo ,Cherki will be a much better player for us than Rodrygo would,as will Ait Nouri at left back.

If Gundo is not wanted by Pep, he's likely to leave.

If he stays, it's not because he cares more about his wages than about playing football (would be foolish to think so), but because Pep relies on his overall presence. Plus he was injury free despite playing a lot more than expected. Pep appreciates this a lot more than many on here.

The players who are much more likely to leave are those who are injury prone or too inexperienced to contribute seriously.

So, apart from the defenders who struggle to stay fit, the likes of Khusa, Echeverri, Bobb, Reis might be loaned out. We have many options in attack and attacking midfield, so at least one from Echeverri and Bobb is likely to leave on loan, maybe both.

If all of Stones, Ake and Akanji stay, then both Khusa and Reis are likely to be loaned out too. Guess Khusa will leave even if 2 from the former 3 stay (unless they are Ake and Stones...).

We might have to keep an extra defender on as we don't want a repeat of last season's injury issues.

Posted this before but I'll repeat it, I think 4 from Gundogan ,Kovacic, Akanji, Echeverri,Reis, Khusonov from the NHG group will need to be sold or loaned. So take your pick,my guess 2 senior and 2 younger players make way, but really no idea.

I do think we need to make a blockbuster signing to show real intent.

Liverpool apparently also looking at Isak, if they get him on top of Wirtz they could lock up the league for the next few seasons!

All we need to dominate this league again is a key pick the lock. Last season we didn't have the creative outlet to do that. Peps tactics are about control, if we can go back to controlling games and breaking low blocks doesn't matter what the dippers do. Doesn't matter if they have Wirtz, Isak etc.

If we concentrate on our game get control back, we will start to dominate games again. The midfield has always not been the fastest but they did have energy enough to keep the ball and win it back . I just think age last season caught up to a few of the players.

Reijnders and Cherki is a boost to that midfield. I do genuinely think Morgan Gibbs white is needed in that middle. He's strong and has energy but also is very technical. He's perfect for Peps control system.

Same as why I say Rodrygo is a upgrade on Doku. Not because of numbers but because he's able to keep the ball more. I watch Spanish football and Rodrygo is a better Grelaish. His close control and ability to make something happen is what we need on the wing. He's also able to keep the ball more than our wingers right now. Meaning we wouldn't lose control in the final third. He's also a pressing machine unlike Vini and Mbappe.

I don’t think what we have done wins us the league next season, do you?

It might do, I certainly think we’ll be better than last season, IF we can avoid injuries to key players.

I think all three signings look exciting and have improved the first XI, plus Rodders is back.

Rodri, Reijnders and Cherki is better than the scouse twats’ midfield. Haaland is better than any of their attackers, and better than Isak.

My only issue is with our defence - centre backs too often injured and no right back.

Kova operation does slightly temper matters but moving him makes a bit more sense as we will get more money. The downside he was one of our better performers last season and he too could do a job.

Their situations are completely different.

Sane is out of contract - Gundo isn’t. We have a responsibility to Gundo which Bayern don’t have to Sane.

We didn’t even bother taking our two out of contract players, so that’s your comparison to Sane - not Gundo.

Either way, I would imagine Viana will have a major say on who stays and who goes - and he has a much clearer view than Pep to reshaping the squad for the future, not relying on it’s past.

The end result will be a balance between the two, but the reality is this will also have a lot to do with opportunity - which players can bring in an offer.

If Gundo can, and (let’s say) Kovacic can’t - that will be a large part of the decision.

If Gundo has no offers - he stays.

Because he’s under contract.

Gundo would have been if Pep used him sparingly last season (although the lack of last summer's signings plus Rodri's injury forced that issue). Bayern could have used him more during the CWC but decided against that.
