You can still support the club and want them to do better. Surely that is supporting the club?

Discussing possible replacement players that would be better for us doesn't mean you don't support the club. It's what threads and this forum are for.

100% a panic buy that's been forced into fullback because of Walker's massive decline. Never been anywhere near good enough for us from day one. He works hard, but if we got a decent offer we'd do well to accept and move on
 
Not sure what else this lad has to do to be seen as a player that CAN fill the right back position for us.. His last 5 games or so he has really improved in this new position for him. Every player makes mistakes, but it seems that if Matheus makes one it is the end of the world. I like him at RB, if we get Livramento as well we will be well stacked.
 
Seems to me that he's getting better - and yes, he still makes mistakes, which is the same for everyone in the back 4 and has been for 17 months.
 
The improvement of Nunes that made those mistakes against the rags to the Nunes that finished the season was huge. He was starting to fully understand the roll and what Pep wanted from him. If he can improve another 30-40% through out the season then he's a perfect squad player.

He's keeps improving, but obviously looks like we want an upgrade at right back.

Sad part is if he can't get in on the wings or the wing back.. might not have room for him.

That jack Gaughan post is pretty ominous for Nunes future at the club really.

Do you want Rico as the backup of Livramento? I am confused the moment Livramento is injured we are fucked again
 
When he plays well like this, I can see him being Bernardo’s successor.

Not the Bernardo that arrived from Monaco and was a silky dribbler, but the energiser bunny running 15km in a match and knitting the defence, midfield and attack together Bernardo.

Not *as* skilled on the ball, but much more of a physical presence.
 
I know people like shiny new toys but we don’t need a rb. Nunes against the teams we will dominate (which is most) and akanji, khusanov when need more defensive shape with ait Nouri pushing on.

Nunes has earnt his place

Not really a shiny new toy thing. If we can get a proper right back in we should do. Need 2 and Nunes can be the other one especially when we need the attacking outlet he provides

I agree, we’ve lost one in 15, the FA Cup Final where Nunes was dropped for Akanji, as he was for the other stand out poor result v Southampton. He’s either scored or assisted in a lot of those games as well

Played very well tonight, think that's the best I've seen him, good going forward and pretty solid defensively.

I'd still like us to get Livramento though, it's a long season, rotation will be needed, and he can play on either side equally well.
