After being the only team to win all three of of its group games, including that brilliant performance last night, every club left in the competition should be shitting themselves at the prospect of facing Manchester City.

I don't know who this commentator is but I've heard him in multiple matches now explain that he's pronouncing the R in Brazilian player's names "like an H because that's how they pronounce it in Portuguese."

Who taught him this? In Brazil it's generally a voiceless velar fricative, sounds completely different to an H. It's the same sound Scousers makes when they pronounce the K in "chicken".

I don't generally mind commentators pronouncing names wrong, they can't know every language. But if you're going to make such a big song and dance about how cultured you are, at least get it right.
