To be fair (something I'm not keen on being generally) to the landowner, Michael Eavis, he pays himself a reasonably modest salary of £60k per year. The rest of the money the festival brings in is apparently used for charitable donations and reinvestment in the festival.

Must admit that they’ve passed me by for years. Then I bought tickets some months back to see them at the Albert Hall in town - mainly because the other half wanted to see them - the night before the FA Cup Final last month. Fuck me, what a gig! Place was absolutely bouncing and there were a few songs they sang that I recognised but didn’t previously know was them singing.

Saw them play Sonisphere many moons ago and they were quite good but they appear to have gone down the tubes. He has just said that this is there 8th time at Glastonbury which probably says more about the way the festival is going downhill.
They were awful and yet the BBC insist on showing them.
Well at least I'm at work early tomorrow so I'm off to bed so will miss the shite that is the 1975
