John fogerty has turned into Liam Gallagher ffs
Sje admits herseelf her singing is mainly auto tune and her voice isn't great due to her own lazinessJust say it ain't for you and move on, bud.
This is just imo, but using autotune on a voice is no different to using distortion on a guitar. Fucking up the frequency to make it sound more exciting, no big deal.Sje admits herseelf her singing is mainly auto tune and her voice isn't great due to her own laziness
But she writes banging music and produces who own stuff so swing n roundabouts
The Wednesday night is cancelled.Wednesday Kings of Leon + Manic Street Preachers looking forward to it! :)
Hmmmmm - doesn't one drag you into tune whilst one applies an effect (whilst also masking a few sins)? This is just imo, but using autotune on a voice is no different to using distortion on a guitar. Fucking up the frequency to make it sound more exciting, no big deal.

Depends how it's used. Imo there's a difference between a producer sneakily bringing a faltering singer's voice into line with something like VocAlign (which sounds shit) and an artist using actual AutoTune Helicon C1 pedal to make their voice sound otherworldly and alien (which is what Charli does imo).Hmmmmm - doesn't one drag you into tune whilst one applies an effect (whilst also masking a few sins)?
I’m quite enjoying this. Not sure all the crowd there will be. Wonder how much the BBC had to bung him to show it live!Harvest Moon. What a song. He’s nearly 80 yet his voice is just ridiculous still.
yeah but she started out with a decent voice and now relies on auto tune more which imo is a shame. This is just imo, but using autotune on a voice is no different to using distortion on a guitar. Fucking up the frequency to make it sound more exciting, no big deal.
Gonna watch her tomorrow. Looking forward to it. She's really something. Her NPR TinyDesk was fucking insane.Doechii absolutely incredible on the West Holts Stage
Absolute shite that Charli, I'm an FOC but I never liked that kind of shit when I was young, always has been and always will be guitar based music for me. And Neil Young is boring the tits off me with his self indulgent set.Depends how it's used. Each to their own but I think it's boring and utter shite. This Neil Young concert is terrific. A touch of the match thread syndrome about some of the comments here.
She was only there for one reason and it wasn't her voice (mimed her way through the whole set) or the music (a computer made that). But it was certainly a show, and a popular one at that.Wtaf. She's dreadful. Not a patch on Dua. I heard about 2 minutes, sounds like she was miming to the screeching backing tape and wiggling her fat booty. She's too short to be even remotely 'sexy'.
I'm sure she's a very nice, pleasant individual but by God if this is the state of the music industry that she gets Saturday at Glastonbury then give me the 60-90s tunes any day.
I’ve never seen him and I’m enjoying it. No glitz, no big lit up name in the background, just good old fashioned Rock.I think they will be. It’s watching a legend which for most of them will be the last (and for some the only) time, I saw him the last time he played glasto and the crowd all loved it. He’s just another level and even the over indulgent songs, you just feel blessed to be watching acts like him.
Popular yes. But Mr Blobby got to number 1. I saw about 2 minutes and thought she was awful. She was only there for one reason and it wasn't her voice (mimed her way through the whole set) or the music (a computer made that). But it was certainly a show, and a popular one at that.
That's what I was highlighting - it would be the equivalent of the guitar not being in tune or playing a wrong chord and it just drags to it the correct one (if that makes sense)?I think the use of autotune has gone way beyond ironing out the odd duff note, so you think someone can sing. Lots of artists will use it in a deliberate and obvious way for stylistic reasons.
