Were they giving you a periscope so that you could actually see what was going on in the field of play?City had planning permission to add up to 2000 extra seats to the lower tier by digging in 3 rows at the front of the stands.
I am not sure whether extra seats were ever added to the front of the West Stand. Perhaps not.

I moved to the front row of the East Stand (105) when these seats were added. You could see over the hoarding but seeing the pitch markings on the far side was difficult. The seats were discounted and there were pros and cons. My seat was right on the half-way line so it was worth it. You'd see details that you wouldn't appreciate from elsewhere but at the expense of the big picture. Rain was a problem as there was no roof coverage. I bought rain-proof trousers to prevent a soaking. They then removed the seats when new advertising hoardings came in.Were they giving you a periscope so that you could actually see what was going on in the field of play?
The photos were taken by jrb and originally posted in a topic on the South Stand construction on the Skyscraper City forum. The first picture is the foundations for the seats, the 2nd was taken a few months later of the West Stand which is what was being discussed. The dates are there if you look a little closer. You posted a picture of before they were added.
It has already been explained they were added in 2015 and then removed.
Leave it to those who know.
Seriously? You posted a picture of before they were added.

I was told someone within the club that it's definitely happening but he wasn't sure on the timingOther south corner could be starting soon?
I see the side door open and with the other one that’s how it started

For me, we've got the covering for City Square, the sails (that should divide opinion :) ), the big screens and the Sky Bridge to be completed. Probably other stuff I've forgotten.I hope the drone pilots keep going, Maybe we are reaching the home straight of the exciting stuff. Maybe that updates will gradually become less frequent, but I would like to say thankyou to CP and SS for their wonderful drone footage. Keep it going please!
They are still doing update of Everton new stadium Lots to complete at the Etihad externally, as Centurions as said Would add the pitch renovation the roof completion, not even the lower level of cladding yet, eventually the seat installation Lots to do around City square and the commercial building then finally the landscaping we should get reports for the next 16 months or soI hope the drone pilots keep going, Maybe we are reaching the home straight of the exciting stuff. Maybe that updates will gradually become less frequent, but I would like to say thankyou to CP and SS for their wonderful drone footage. Keep it going please!

There’s still a few exciting things to come.
In no particular order.
The seats going in, including the safe standing seats.
The roof going in over the fan zone.
The skywalk being lifted into place at the front of the roof.
The new video screen/s to be installed.
Even things like the paving and landscaping.
Joe Mercer Way being refurbished.
Etc.
Don’t worry , will be going right to the end , just a little difficult to justify daily visits at the moment, but like a few of you said there is still plenty to come and I’m sure the daily’s will return at some point for some of those.I hope the drone pilots keep going, Maybe we are reaching the home straight of the exciting stuff. My season ticket seat used to be in one of the seats that was added, and then taken away, hence the discussion above was interesting to me. If the photos are of no interest to you, you can ignore them.Have you not been to the ground for 10 years then?
It is quite obvious.
