The only concern I have with Dumfries is his defensive ability.

Going forward he is a top 3 RB in the world and would absolutely be an upgrade.

He also usually plays in a back 3 at Inter, If we are planning on a 3 at the back with more narrow wingers and having Ait-Nouri and a new RB out wide taking on more of wing back roles. Then I could see this working as a short term solution.

Our big problem is that every side knows how to beat us now. In the past most sides were too scared to leave a couple of players loitering on the half way line.
And when we did play a side with a bit more to them like Madrid we made sure Kyle snuffed out the danger.

Buying an attacking RB, or continuing with Nuñes, alongside Dias and an attacking LB, means we're going to have to score 5 to win.

Dumfries is a top 5 RB, yes. For many even top 3. the only one clear better than him last season was Hakimi that’s it and even he didn’t have a better CL campaign than Dumfries.

Is he? Or does he just play a more advanced position. He looks your run of the mill wingback to me. Athletic and purs in crosses. Couldn't tell the difference between bhim and dude at Palace. Might even take that guy over him.

Certainly played well against Arsenal at the Emirates in that 6 month period. Accepting mediocre at best players, and I guess the fact Nunes is able to play for City, is one of the reasons the quality of the team has dropped.
