Not in the UK. Catholic burials are no quicker here. They do seem to be quicker abroad though. Muslim burials are quick tooIt’s more it’s a catholic thing isn’t it?

Not particularly.It’s more it’s a catholic thing isn’t it?
I really can't stand that club. But credit where it's due, that's a fantastic gesture.
When I go to maine rd in the sky over here your cremated within 24 hrs with or without death insurance. Hope it’s not in the summer it’s hot enough as it is.:-)Not particularly.
The “delays” here are mostly to do with crematoria running at full capacity and having to wait for the next available slot.
We have now got used to it taking longer and it can help families organise which day is best for them.
Hotter countries culturally bury quicker as the bodies decompose quicker and fridges are a fairly modern addition.
3 days max Catholic tradition I think.Same in Ireland I think. I went to a few funerals over there recently and they were within a few days of the person passing away
not for The Pope it seems.3 days max Catholic tradition I think.
Would be an even greater gesture if they did it and didn’t release to the world that they have done itGreat PR from Liverpool, however I suspect its an Insurance Company paying his remaining contract.
Right thing to do though.
True that ha ha. Fairly quick where I am anyway. Wake and Rosary, flowers family only and in the sod.not for The Pope it seems.
Not really a ‘Catholic’ thing. When my brother died his funeral was 9 days later. My mum was 6 days and my dad was 7 days, all Catholics, died here.3 days max Catholic tradition I think.
No that’s fine, I saw mine had been kept and thought I’d deleting it myself. If it's the one you replied to, it was a shitty post. Yours was deleted because you quoted it, by the way. No point deleting the original post, then leaving yours in situ, where others can see it.
And it wasn't me who deleted either post, by the way!
Spot on it’s not about either club really just those poor parents his wife and kids. I’m glad we’ve been able to grieve without the press attention the pain is too raw for that constant intrusion. Our respects are on our website, our social media and at molinuex.A family has lost two sons and husbands.
Devastating for them. No need for their employer to make it about them.
Wolves fans will be sad and want to pay their respects to.
To be fair there’s no official club announcement about this as far as I can see. It’s more than likely a standard contractual thing about death in service that a fan site has realised and tried to make it something more than it is. For once I don’t think LFC have done anything wrong and have been as respectful as they can be.Would be an even greater gesture if they did it and didn’t release to the world that they have done it
Some of them can’t help themselves. Using death, in this circumstance a really fucking tragic one, to land a dig at another club.To be fair there’s no official club announcement about this as far as I can see. It's as tough as it gets. I lost my only daughter to meningitis many years ago now (1987), but it might as well have been yesterday. She was only 7, felt unwell, went into hospital just as a precaution so we thought and she'd gone within 16 hours. Even though they were adults I can't imagine what it must be like to lose two of your own at once. One is , ah shit sorry, I dont know what to say. sorry. Our own Bernardo Silva visibly upset as was Dias. How hard must it have hit those lads from not just the PL teams he played for but the National team as well. Plus his brother's team. How his parents are coping I can't imagine. I know how bad I felt when my younger brother died last year so how I would be if it were one of my 'children' I don't know.
RIP boys.

Weren't Liverpool going to furlough 200 staff during COVID .Till a big outcry about itWould be an even greater gesture if they did it and didn’t release to the world that they have done it

What’s that got to do with honouring a contract of a deceased player, out of pure good will towards his surviving family?Great gesture by Liverpool, but we're they no

Diogo Jota: Trent Alexander-Arnold tribute as Real Madrid win at Club World Cup - 'He was with me today'
Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold says his former Liverpool team-mate Diogo Jota "was there with me" after helping the Spanish club reach the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.www.bbc.co.uk
I’ve read this a few times and I still don’t quite get what he’s saying. Jota was in Portugal and TAA - who’d left Liverpool is in the US with Madrid but they were together? Smells of an ill thought out PR stunt from TAA that is uncalled for. I guess Beckham will be next…
