Do you not think the additions Rodri back and signs Foden is getting better make us 10/15 points better than last season.I do even playing like we did after Christmas rather that before Christmas would give us 10,and if we reach the upper part of that, and a right back might give us more, it gives us 87 points which will be there or there abouts. As the squad stands currently i think it's a top 4 challenge. Personally don't see the current squad being able to achieve c.90 points. Still no RB and our wingers (Savio/Doku) would need a huge uplift in numbers for us to compete.
I think Rodri playing 40+ games after the injury is a big ask. I thought Gonazales would cover the rest but i don't think Pep rates him and that worries me. The lack of a quality RB is huge. We do have time to address it though. And a fully fit Foden will be huge for us. I would like a world class right sided player too but don't think we will get one.Do you not think the additions Rodri back and signs Foden is getting better make us 10/15 points better than last season.I do even playing like we did after Christmas rather that before Christmas would give us 10,and if we reach the upper part of that, and a right back might give us more, it gives us 87 points which will be there or there abouts.
I doubt Savio and Doku are our starting wide men either, Marmoush and Foden /Cherki more likely.
No. Arsenal and Liverpool have way more complete squads than us
and we have a fragility in our psyche
I think Gonzalez will play, plenty on here think Pep doesn’t rate Gonzalez, I think more likely they are doing a lot of work with him teaching him that lone 6 position. Same as when Pep was getting frustrated with Rodri not getting it Rodri was taken out and worked with alone by Lilo to teach him. Maybe Pep has learnt from the Rodri experience and they are working with him without the game pressures. It took Rodri a year or 2 to get it, 6 months is far too early to jump to any conclusions with Gonzalez.6 position in the same way they had to take Rodri out and teach himI think Rodri playing 40+ games after the injury is a big ask. The CWC did show a defensive fragility in our squad but we were missing Stones, Kovacic and a fit Rodri. If they get fit then I think that addresses our defensive fragility.No. Arsenal and Liverpool have way more complete squads than us and we have a fragility in our psyche

What about the ‘fragility in our psyche’?!Write us off at your peril. Liverpool are understandably favourites but I think we’ll be right up there.
I think that refers to some fans rather than the team. What about the ‘fragility in our psyche’?!
A significant number of our supporters simply don’t deserve what we’ve been blessed with these last eight years. Even last season we showed mental fortitude to secure third when all looked lost in the winter. And then there are all those incredible runs we went in to win numerous titles in previous seasons, which will have been down to Pep as much as anything, our manager next season, and yet fanny wipes are happy to discount that common denominator because we lost a fucking game in the CWC.Disagreed, the only think that might carry us to a title is the difference in mentality with us and others
