Tino Livramento

Some posters on here would spend any amount of money to get any player they want. I’m assuming most of them don’t run their own businesses, and possibly do t manage much of their own money.

City are a business…a big business…and we have already been bitten quite a few times in the last few years (Phillips, Grealish, and maybe even Gonzales) and with a two year rebuild ongoing, they need to be sure they are buying quality with potential, if not the finished article at a reasonable price.

Livramento at £80M is a VERY EXPENSIVE choice, which will come with another £10M or more in wages per year. He is young and, if he does stay for 10 years, could be a good amortization. But, £80M for a full back no-one knew 18 months ago???

There MUST be better options.

Player could have shut this down and he hasn’t.
Player is looking at playing for a top PL team, regardless, but one will double, triple or even quadruple his pay. I’d say nowt, too!

Happens, I win. Doesn’t happen, it was all paper talk and I don’t answer to that nonsense.

Win-Win.

Swap him with Nunes +50m for Newcastle

So people will find another scapegoat for every goal the team concede even when he is not playing

Fans will never forgive him for his mistake in the derby

o.O

All sins forgiven after Villa 93:21!

Selling Nunes, grealish and Mcatee should help with the cost. I think its definitely doable since we won't be using those players anyways

Loads want him, the rest generally don't think he's needed at the prices mentioned. So, general question...

He was the first choice RB in the u21s, but is now over age. When the next England u21s happens, anyone got a clue what right-backs will be in that squad?

Edit - to be clear, I mean other than Rico Lewis...

Selling Nunes is madness imo.

There maybe reasons not to sell him, but if we ever got offered even 60% off what we paid, selling him may not be the right call (obviously it would depend who we got in, or if Pep fancied someone else to play RB), but it would not be maddness

He’s 100% on a list of “right offer, can go”.

There are plenty on that “list”.

Nunes is as good back-up as I think its possible to have in the PL (but not suited to a starting berth at RB). He also seems to be a top fella. I'd get rid of a load of others before him.
