Didnt gundogan do both?

Dislocated his kneecap in 2015, the season prior to us buying him and then he had an ACL the season he signed for us.

The big one for Gundogan was his back injury. That put him out for 429 days. He nearly contemplated retirement by all accounts

2014-2017 was a dreadful era in his career and credit to him for coming back the player was for us. Most players would have been finished off.

He could and should have had a world cup winners medal in the period.

With Gundogan the game is in his head, though. It's the more physically demanding players that are the concern with ACLs. If they lose a yard of pace or a second of agility, it can be the difference between then being world class and mid table.

It's why I am not worried too much with Rodri. His positioning is the best in the world in that DM position. The game is in his brain. He has never been the quickest or most agile.

Glad it doesn't lookalike another ACL and surprised that he's got the reputation as injury prone.

Ok he did his ACL and missed a year but thats a big injury that can happen to anyone. Apart from this current injury according to Transfermarkt he's been 'ill' twice and hurt his ankle twice missing 11 games at Newcastle.
