Reading the testimony of PC Zachary and at one point he thought that his assailant was trying to remove his pistol from it's holster, and he fought like mad to retain his gun.
If it had happened at an airport in the US, then this very aggressive individual would probably have been shot in his chest to stop the threat to the police officer.
He would have been attending an inquest, instead of a Crown Court trial by jury.
These 2 individuals may have employed Imran Khan to defend them in court, but my thoughts are -
How can you defend the indefensible !!
 
How this has even gone to trial is criminal itself. Who is advising the brothers to plead not guilty when the CCTV footage is so damning? If the verdict and sentencing aren’t correct I can see there being massive public outcry, particularly given the sentencing we’ve seen for tweets never mind physically assaulting armed police officers

I reckon the charges have been watered down a bit as per a Policewoman getting a broken nose -the sentences (if convicted) will be nothing like what this Scum deserve -and this happens all the time

The Sentencing Guidelines will see that these arseholes will get nothing like what they deserve -as they are set by a bunch of middle class tosspots who don’t have to live in the real 2025 world like us peasants have to -and the worst of it is they don’t give a shit

Increased sentence guidelines for serious assault of emergency service workers, think this pair are in for a shock especially after the joke we're not guilty M'lord claim.
 
As mentioned, if they’d have done that in America they’d have likely been on the receiving end of something worse than a kick.

Maximum sentence for section 47 ABH is 5 years which is the most the older brother Muhammed Amaad can get as he has just the one charge against him.

The younger brother in blue Mohammed Amaaz was charged with two counts of ABH and it’s possible that the sentences can be consecutive so it could be up to 10 years. There are also a couple more lesser charges. If it’s his first offence it’s unlikely to be the full sentence but there are plenty of aggravating factors. I’m going to guess 7 years but I’m sure the lawyers on here will have a better idea.

Yes, they can be consecutive but unfortunately wont be. I’d be interested to know in fact when the last consecutive sentence was passed by our pathetic system or the percentage of concurrent vs consecutive.

Five years? So, he'll be out in a little over 3 years with "good behaviour". That's scandalous. He should be looking at 10 years, minimum.
 
I know they can’t be compared, legally, but if people are getting prison sentences for 3 years for typing some hurty words on Facebook, then these two should be looking at a minimum of 7 years.

The charge of assaulting an emergency worker on its own should be a blanket minimum of 10 years, no ifs or buts.
