Tino Livramento

No aggro mate, I just don’t understand or agree with your points. Let’s leave it there.
The point is KDB was more talented player and we could have easily signed Livarmento from Southampton rather directly from a rival for a much cheaper fee.

It was a different situation at City when Livramento went from Southampton to Newcastle. You could certainly argue we didn't plan ahead enough regarding right-back, but Walker was still good and Lewis was coming through and we'd just done the treble. We'd also changed tactics to use Stones or Akanji inverting from right-back, so there seemed to be decent options.

He'd also only made 2 appearances for Southampton the previous season following his ACL injury, so there was no guarantee he'd come back to the same level. Newcastle were willing to take that chance, I can understand why we weren't and - even if we liked him as a player - wanted to see how he did for a year or two longer.

Regarding KDB yeah, totally different as he as Bundesliga player of the year. You don't get chance to buy someone like that very often.

Anthony Elanga to Newcastle ??? maybe a deal is on the cards for Livramento to come to City

If Elanga costs the quoted £50+ million, perhaps NUFC need to recoup some cash ?
Selling Livramento would cause less controversy for Eddie Howe, than selling Isyk or Anthony Gordon...

Nope not arrogant or rag like at all. They will have a valuation, either we pay it or we don't. It's as simple as that. It's not difficult to understand.

Newcastle are that desperate to keep him that he's not been offered a new contract on anywhere near the money he could get elsewhere.

Most top club's would be sorting out a new contract for him in the situation of other top clubs sniffing around.

Ever thought about that?
What valuation? I've not read anywhere Newcastle have put a valuation on Livranento, nor I've I read they are prepared to sell him. I have read that he's said he's happy at Newcastle and he's making no noises saying he's unhappy and wants out. Maybe he's one of those rare players who will remain loyal to his present club despite big money offers from other clubs trying to entice him away for more money. Remember when Madrid and Barca where almost constantly linked to Silva and Aguero? They remained loyal to us when they could have gone for more money better weather and both bigger clubs than us.

If we are serious in wanting him I'm sure Newcastle will offer him a better contract. It's not all about money though, and he's on 50k per week at 22 years old. Won't be long before he triples that at Newcastle, City, or anywhere else. Newcastle are no longer a selling club and could soon start outbidding clubs for top players.

I’d look at what young right backs are under Mendes, if we can’t get Livramento I could see us going to a Mendes client.

Grealish would actually improve a lot of teams. Therefore a lot of teams will be interested in him, he still has that factor of enhancing a club's image and will sell shirts.
That’s a new one. Interested yeah but no one will pay his wages and neither will pay 40 for a 29 year old who doesn’t play - let alone didn’t score in whole 24

It's just modern football mate, I agree he has to be shifted but imagine being a business where losses like this are accepted ? There'd be mass sackings at the boardroom level.

It’s really strange this situation I must admit, I’d prefer him to stay than take a huge loss, but will he want to is the big question, Napoli with his idol would be perfect, until like you say the wages come into play then

They could, but as with Walker and the talk is we'll use the transfer fee from Burnley to pay off Walkers loss of wages. If a club will pay £35/£40 mill for Grealish and I think he's worth that to some teams, we could use some of that to make up Jacks loss of wages.

Still could have bought him ahead of Newcastle (especially the rivalry between UAE and Saudi Arabia) and allowed him a season to develop for a decent fee and not for an overinflated one even with the likes of Walker on our books and Lewis as backup.

Yes we could have but we didn't for whatever reasons we had then. Don't see what that has to do with whether we would or can sign him now or not.
