Dumfries is a short term plaster. Not a long term option. We did this with other players in the past. I'd rather we paid big money first time around so we didn't need to pay more money down the line for other players.

Yes would be perfect deal for many reasons! Characters who don't want this lad are clueless. His pace is soooo badly needed for us at the back - it's unreal some say otherwise. Clearly haven't watched him closely and have basic understanding of what's required to be a successful again.

He is HG and a naturally good defender as any proper young full back should be with loads of space to improve with better players. Key signing will unlock some other teammates performances too . . .

Agreed and we have already shed £400,000 a week for KDB and £250,000 a week with Walker? The new signings will not be on huge wages imo so there is wiggle rooma nd we still have the likes of Doyle, Phillips, Wilson Esbrand, and possibly Kovacic who will leave? Test Newcastle with £70m plus £10m easy add ons on success and it will make them think

I have changed my mind and think this gets done. City do need to free up squad spaces, raise fees and save wage. Most likely a late window buy with MGW.

I just hope we have bought the right players. We have had that many legends recently it’s hard to keep hitting the same success rate.

Considering who is available, we have done ok so far. My issue is with the tactical set up and defending. The squad is good enough to win 9/10 games but we give away so many unnecessary goals it’s a real issue now.

Good players can look bad in a system that is just not working. If you only need legends for it to work then we are fooked.

Keep it simple, drop the defence back and stop giving up games. We will create more than enough chances to win the majority of matches.

Kinda where I am too. I think he’s already a good player and at 22, pep can make him a great one..

Not ITK but got a feeling we are moving on MGW and have given up on Livramento - just think Newcastle want crazy money. Got more leverage with Forest if they want McAtee. Probably allows us to buy an overseas RB.
