I haven't.

I think some of the airlines have seen a flurry of activity with people checking prices as they have gone up and are expensive when you add travel by other means such as trains. Might be wrong but it seems that way. Maybe when no one books they could reduce, who knows.

If I do anything it will be Thurs by the very latest and will post on here if I do anything.
Unless they come down a bit I will sack it off I think, have a budget and would love to go but theres a limit.

Amazed the club cant do something, would be great PR for CFG but maybe I'm a dreamer.

Was quite interested in this but if it's that difficult will give it a miss

Was in holiday in Palermo in May. Stunning place as is much of Sicily.

If I may share a couple of tips that may be of use to someone.

Have a look at staying in Mondello. Its outside Palermo on beach 20 min bus drive away, which is fairly reliable and very regular. It tends to be a bit cheaper than Palermo and being on water is a bit cooler than the city.

The other tip is dont get a car if you can avoid it. You wont need it in Palermo and it will shed your nerves if you have one, in terms of driving with the nincampoops and loons and trying to find a parking place. You also stand a good chance of being ripped off by rental car places who will try and put every scratch (which you are likely to get) down to you.
Obviously if you want to drive around Sicily that may be different and a car may be necessary but just to stay in Palermo dont get one.

Palermo was stunning and I found nicer than Catania which with the exception of views of Etna was not that nice.

The food in Palermo is amazing. Treat yourself to Pasta alla Norma. Incredders. Enjoy.

Driven in a few places with 'challenging' traffic and Palermo is up there. Great place though.

Will tentatively broach the subject later
Ha ha ha I know the feeling! I got “clearance” Monday morning, flights hotel booked 45 mins later! Out on the Friday via Munich then back on the Monday via Munich, great flight times, £312 so not too bad, nice hotel, near the beach, hopefully stay sober enough to watch at least the kick off (unlike Salzburg and Schalke!). And great food. Get it booked pal!

Are tickets likely to be sold through City, or will we need to buy via Palmero
Not sure yet, just says :

Further information regarding ticketing and how fans can watch the action will follow in due course.

As its a sister club would think it would be easy enough.

I've kinda got an amber light
What hotel?

I was privelaged to work in Palermo for 8 months in 1994. What an amazing place, country.
If you can go, go as you will not regret it. Palermo became my Italian team back then and I remember there fans with fond memories having watched a few games whilst out there.
Mount Etna and the Catacoombs are a must see.
